At its Seattle headquarters, Hart Crowser hired Amanda Hultz as a geologist and Mike Shaljian as a hydrogeologist. He has worked on stormwater permitting and environmental impact statement/environmental assessment planning, Phase I and II environmental site assessments and ecological appraisals, and managed large on-call contracts. Caplan has over 25 years of environmental impact statement, National Environmental Policy Act, environmental planning and permitting experience. Her work has ranged from Hawaii Environmental Policy Act projects to a $25 million environmental impact statement for military actions in the Pacific. Ueno holds a bachelor's in geology and geophysics, and is working on geotechnical investigations for building and roadway foundations, and geologic hazards such as rockfalls. Simbeck has 12 years of experience in stormwater management and environmental monitoring, investigation and compliance. She has managed multicultural projects, been a marine environmental dredging specialist for Koniambo Nickel SAS in New Caledonia, owned an environmental consultancy in New Zealand, and worked for Washington Department of Ecology's marine monitoring unit. Cody has six years of experience in stormwater permitting and Phase I and II environmental site investigations, and is a inspector for sediment and erosion control. She has a background in database management, technical data compilation, and making complex data easily understandable. Fong has a bachelor's in natural resources environmental management from the University of Hawaii and a background in soil and water sampling, and environmental compliance for geothermal and stormwater projects. In Seattle, Elliott Bay Design Group hired Alina Shrestha as a naval architect and John Moser as a marine engineer. Shrestha joined EBDG as a contractor in 2017. She is an engineer and researcher with experience in vessel repair, design and analysis, material planning, construction management, regulatory compliance and inspection. She will be responsible for design, construction and repair of vessels. Moser is a Texas A&M University at Galveston graduate who was a firefighter and emergency responder in Central Texas. He will develop analyses, drawings and technical reports and provide engineering support to project managers. EBDG provides naval architecture, marine engineering and production support services.

In Seattle, McKinstry promoted Allen Range to chief technology officer. Range will lead the company's enterprise technology team while partnering with business lines to integrate technology to better serve clients. He was senior director of IT operations. McKinstry is a national design, build, operate and maintain firm.

In Redmond, DOWL hired Lizzie Zemke as a wetland scientist. Zemke has nearly 30 years of experience in Washington that includes securing environmental permits for infrastructure projects, wetland and plant ecology, ecological restoration, and sustainability strategy. She has managed environmental projects for federal, state and local clients.

Rice Fergus Miller, a Bremerton-based architecture, interior design, planning and visualization firm, hired Anita Rossen as health care practice leader in its health care, hospitality and housing for seniors studios. Rossen is a health care specialist who has done facilitation, planning, and design for Seattle's Children's Hospital, and BC Women's and Children's Hospital in Canada.

In Anchorage, Stantec hired Dean Cimmiyotti as Alaska survey manager. Cimmiyotti has 40 years of experience on public and private projects, including over 25 years in project management. Besides surveying, he has a background in photogrammetry and lidar acquisition and mapping. Past clients include the Municipality of Anchorage. Stantec provides engineering, architecture, interior design, landscape architecture, surveying, environmental sciences, construction services, project management, and project economics.

Portland-based StormwateRx LLC, a stormwater treatment and filtration company, said Robert Chapler earned his professional engineer license and has become certified as a Qualified Industrial Stormwater Practitioner. He has been promoted to project engineer, and will do technical and engineering design.
