COWI hired Linda Stroud as business development and marketing manager. Based in Seattle, Stroud will be responsible for the growth of business development opportunities and marketing strategy primarily in the Western U.S. She has over 27 years of experience in marketing for Seattle-based architectural and engineering firms. She managed the marketing and proposal efforts to secure two major projects, which totaled more than $31 million in fees. COWI is a bridge, tunnel and marine engineering consulting group.

Seattle-based Rolluda Architects hired Tanya Rolluda as an administrative assistant and Joshua Lamb, Karina Djaynurdin and Houri Beheshtifar as project designers. Rolluda has a bachelor's in quantitative economics from the University of Asia and the Pacific and a master's in childhood education from Miriam College. She is assisting with accounting and administrative tasks. Lamb has a bachelor's in architectural studies and a master of architecture from Washington State University and is working on elementary school modular additions and renovations for the Tukwila School District.

Djaynurdin has a bachelor's in architectural engineering from Parahyangan Catholic University in West Java and studied web marketing at Bellevue College. She is working on a remodel of Stephens Whitney residence hall for Central Washington University. Beheshtifar has an associate degree in civil engineering and a bachelor's in architecture from Azad University in Iran and a master's in landscape architecture from the University of Idaho. She is working on projects for Mount Baker School District and the city of Seattle's Haller Lake Vehicle Maintenance Building.

Arup hired David Phillip Beal as an associate principal and the transportation planning leader for the Seattle office. Beal will spearhead the creation of an integrated planning practice to support Seattle-area clients. He has over 30 years of experience as a transit project manager. Most recently, he was the Pacific Northwest transportation planning regional manager at Aecom, and prior to that he was the director of planning and development at Sound Transit for almost 10 years during the development and adoption of that agency's $54 billion ST3 Regional Transit System Plan.

McKinstry

In Seattle, McKinstry named Adam Gloss as director and general manager of service, a team that offers help for HVAC systems, plumbing and piping, specialty services, building control and fire protection systems, and preventive and predictive maintenance. Led by Gloss, it will develop a new technology platform to give customers more visibility into their systems, assets and service histories, improve communication channels and boost dispatch efficiency. He will also oversee growth and hiring for the team. He was a founding member of the Air Conditioning Contractors of America Building Performance Council's Advisory Committee. McKinstry is a national design, build, operate and maintain firm.

In Seattle, Bassetti Architects promoted Manika Bhagra and Alan Dodson to associate. Bhagra brings excellent communication and collaboration skills to her project teams. She is the project architect for the Walnut Grove Elementary School replacement for Vancouver Public Schools. Dodson will continue to focus on design excellence and detailing, documentation and mentoring younger staff. He is senior project architect on Highline High School for Highline Public Schools, and renovations to a local museum.

Seattle-based Notkin Mechanical Engineers hired William (Bill) Turnipseed and Qasim Hasan as project engineers, Eliezer (Eli) Suhartanto as a mechanical designer, Kim Baker as marketing manager, Samantha Torpey as a human resources generalist and Joy Bak as an accounting clerk. The firm also said Elizabeth Garras and Nick Weishaar earned licenses as mechanical engineers in Washington. Turnipseed brings over 30 years of mechanical engineering experience to Notkin's projects at Naval Base Kitsap. Hasan has 15 years of mechanical engineering and design experience, and works on projects at EvergreenHealth and Naval Base Kitsap.

Suhartanto has nine years of experience and works on projects at EvergreenHealth and Naval Base Kitsap. Baker has 16 years of experience marketing for the built environment. She manages the firm's marketing and business development initiatives. Torpey manages the firm's human resources and recruitment processes and draws from her similar experience with the city of Sacramento and health care organizations. Bak holds a finance degree in business administration from Central Washington University, and supports the firm's financial initiatives.

Garras joined Notkin full-time in 2015 after three years at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. She is working on projects for the U.S. Navy and the Port of Seattle. Weishaar was hired in 2013 as a mechanical designer after interning with Siemens Industries. At Notkin, his work includes projects for the U.S. Navy and EvergreenHealth. Notkin provides analysis, design, and consulting services for health care, academic and government clients.

In Seattle, SRG Partnership hired Marianeth Becerril Pedraza as a designer, Nikko Delossantos as a marketing coordinator and Zachary Melnik and Bryan Washko as designers, and promoted Alyssa Gritzmacher to marketing manager. In Portland, it hired Samantha Kelsey as an interior designer and Michael Talbot as a senior associate and director of workplace strategy.

Pedraza has a master of architecture and a bachelor of science in architecture studies from Washington State University, and was a teaching assistant in architecture there. Delossantos has a bachelor's in communications from the University of Washington and industry experience in marketing, public relations and social media strategies. He will work on marketing and business development initiatives.

Melnik holds a master of architecture from the UW and a bachelor's in business administration from Drexel University. Washko has a master of architecture from the UW and a bachelor's in architectural studies and music from Hobart and William Smith Colleges. He was a teaching assistant in digital fabrication at the UW. Gritzmacher manages the Seattle office's marketing pursuits and business development initiatives. She has a bachelor's in journalism from the University of Oregon. Kelsey has a bachelor's in interior design from Oregon State University and a portfolio of work with a specialization in workplace design. Talbot is a design leader with 20 years of experience in workplace, health care and public interest design. SRG provides programming, planning, architecture and interior design.

Art Anderson

Art Anderson hired Abu Bakar Siddke as a naval architect. He will work in the marine division of the Bremerton-based multidisciplinary engineering services firm and support several projects focusing on vessel stability, structural analysis and mooring.
