Ogier

Sarah Ogier joined Parametrix as vice president overseeing its water and environmental planning and compliance practices in the Puget Sound region, including offices in Seattle, Bremerton and Puyallup. Ogier has over 20 years of experience in natural resources and utility management, including drinking water, wastewater, solid waste and stormwater. She was with the city of Bellevue Utilities Department as utilities policy advisor. Prior to that, she was with the King County Department of Natural Resources and Parks, where she established and led the Office of Sustainability and Innovation for the Wastewater Treatment Division. Parametrix provides engineering, planning and environmental services.

HNTB Corp. named Deborah Taylor group director for its Bellevue office. Taylor, a transportation environmental planner with over 33 years of experience, manages HNTB's environmental, structures, urban planning, and mechanical, electrical and engineering departments, and will help meet growth goals for the office. She has been with HNTB for over 20 years, and most recently was director of environmental planning for its Texas region. She was office leader in Houston from 2006 through 2011. Her work included the South Padre Island Second Access bridge project. HNTB is an infrastructure firm.

In Everett, Reid Middleton hired Ponce Capati as a BIM technician, Lloyd Langevin as a senior party chief, Chris Halamek as a designer I, Danila Popov as a survey technician, Jennifer Johnson as a project engineer and Noman Shafi as a project designer. In Alaska, the firm hired David Tatarenko as a designer I.

Capati has over 20 years of CAD experience. Langevin has 10 years of experience as a survey crew chief. Halamek has a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Washington. Popov will be bring his experience to the survey group. Johnson has a professional engineer license and more than 20 years of experience. Shafi has 20 years of experience. Tatarenko received a master's in civil engineering from the University of Alaska Anchorage. Reid Middleton provides structural and civil engineering, land surveying and permitting services.

DLR Group appointed Steve McKay and John Fuller managing principals. They are on its executive leadership team and will join the board of directors. McKay joined the Seattle office in 1996. As the firm's global design leader, he collaborates with sector and studio leadership in 30 locations. He was instrumental in DLR Group being an early adopter of the 2030 Challenge, and an initial signatory of the AIA 2030 Commitment and the China Accord — a commitment by design firms to plan and design all cities, towns and buildings in China to low carbon/carbon neutral standards. Fuller, as the firm's chief marketing officer, leads the global marketing, business development and growth initiatives for its 10 core market sectors. Under his leadership, the firm's new fees have tripled from $106.9 million in 2009 to $290 million in fiscal year 2019. He works in Kansas City. The firm provides architecture, engineering, interiors, planning and building optimization.

In Seattle, Makers Architecture and Urban design hired Ralaine Angeles as an associate I–architectural designer, Linda Ashby as a planner/designer and Cyndi Wilder as marketing and human resources director. Angeles has three years of experience as a senior designer, BIM lead at CallisonRTKL, where she designed and assisted in the development of retail and commercial projects. She is on the federal facilities planning team at Makers. Ashby has 15 years of project leadership experience in landscape planning, research and design; advertising and corporate communications; nonprofit program development and outreach and event planning. Organizations she has worked with include AOL and the Landscape Architecture Foundation. She is working on the Citywide Space Planning Study for Portland. Wilder was previously a marketing coordinator at Makers and most recently was communications director for Seattle's Department of Finance and Administrative Services. She has 17 years of communications, marketing and operations experience in industries that include real estate, construction and planning and also in government.

Sazan Group promoted Daniel Touger to managing principal and leader of the Portland office and hired Phil Roach as an associate and senior plumbing designer in the mechanical engineering department in Portland. Touger has led the mechanical engineering department for the past several years. He will continue to provide internal coordination between departments and external communication with clients and owners. Roach has over 20 years of experience in plumbing design and project management. He will work on specialized health care projects and assist with the education portfolio. Sazan provides mechanical, electrical and fire protection engineering, information technology systems consulting, lighting design and owner representation services.
