He started his career as a business consultant and worked at design industry firms, mastering financial management and planning. As CFO or senior financial leader, he has experience in environmental remediation, consulting engineering, government contracting, regulatory outsourcing, design-build construction, program management, construction management, materials testing, inspection services and technology. He has overseen finances, business planning, risk management, mergers and acquisitions, and helped shape firm strategy. Most recently, he was based in Seattle as CFO at a national environmental science and engineering firm. GeoEngineers is a consulting firm of engineers and earth scientists.

He has worked on interior hospital renovations in the Bay Area including Stanford Health, UCSF and Kaiser.
