The promotions recognize their contributions to Stuart Silk Architects' design profile, firm culture and client service. They will join founding partner Stuart Silk in leading the firm, which was founded in 1981. Stuart Silk Architects provides architecture and interior design services.

In Seattle, SHKS Architects promoted Theresa Freeman to principal. Freeman has over 30 years of design experience, and has won awards for her projects including the Sunset Hill DADU and Portage Bay Houseboat residential designs, and the Ferndale Library. She has worked with higher education institutions, municipal governments and on homes. SHKS provides master planning, facilities assessments, site selection and feasibility studies, programming, and architectural design for new buildings, additions and the adaptive reuse and rehabilitation of existing structures.

In Tacoma, BCRA hired Kayla Schunzel as an associate, civil engineering. Schunzel is a recent graduate of Gonzaga University's civil engineering program. She previously worked as an intern with the firm and will support markets that include residential, parks, municipal and healthcare. BCRA provides architecture, interior design, civil engineering, structural engineering, land use planning and landscape architecture.

JETT Landscape Architecture + Design hired landscape architect Todd Bronk as the principal of the recently formed Seattle office, and Troy Britt as a landscape designer. Bronk has 20 years of experience working in the Bay Area and Puget Sound regions for public and private developments focused on urban infill and contextual design. He leads JETT's expansion into the Pacific Northwest. His work includes Spokane's Riverfront Park, Redmond's Central Connector trail and park, the Los Angeles Waterfront, Richmond, B.C.'s Middle Arm Waterfront built for the 2010 Olympic Games, and in Seattle the Marketfront expansion, and open spaces under construction at Midtown Square. Britt is a USGBC accredited SITES professional and an accredited EcoDistricts professional. He has experience in campus, cultural, transportation and open space planning and a background in technical production, 3-D software, graphic visualization and sustainable planting. JETT was founded in 1999 in Oakland, California and has grown to an 18-person landscape architecture firm. Its work is found in California and Seattle and ranges from single- and multi-family residences to hospitality, campus design, parks and recreational facilities, mixed use and tower developments, and land use plans.

Saez Consulting Engineers hired Daniel Munn as a principal and office leader and Lena Peter and Zachary Sweeting to the senior engineering team in its recently opened Seattle office. Munn has more than 25 years of experience in structural engineering, site structures, utility relocation projects and project management. He is a civil and structural engineer and serves on the Seattle 2030 District Board. Peter is a civil engineer/senior project manager with 24 years of experience in project management and transportation design. Sweeting is a civil and structural engineer and has been practicing structural engineering for over eight years in the Seattle area with experience in design and project management on a broad range of building structures.

KPFF Consulting Engineers named Puja Shaw and Jenifer Clapham principals in its Seattle office. Shaw has 21 years of civil engineering experience working with public and private clients in the Puget Sound region. She is a practice leader in progressive design/build delivery. Current projects include the University of Washington's Interdisciplinary Engineering Building, UW Health Sciences Education Building and UW Behavioral Health Teaching Facility. Clapham has 22 years of civil engineering experience and has worked on and led large, long-term, complex site development and infrastructure projects in and around the Puget Sound region. Projects she has managed include the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Campus in Seattle, 1063 Helen Sommers Building in Olympia, Expedia Campus on Elliott Bay and the USACE Federal Center South Campus along the Duwamish River. KPFF is a civil and structural engineering firm.
