Akshay Prabhu, Electrical Engineer and Project Manager, and Peregrin Jones, Mechanical Design Engineer and Project Manager, with P2S Inc. have successfully completed the Design-Build Institute of America's comprehensive education and certification testing program to achieve the design-build industry's highest designation as a nationally certified Design-Build Professional®. Two to six years of substantial, documented direct project experiences in design-build project delivery experience is an additional prerequisite for Designated Design-Build Professional® certification.
Both Prabhu and Jones work with clients from the P2S office in Seattle. Prabhu is an electrical engineer and project manager with over seven years of experience designing and assessing projects in municipal, higher education, healthcare, commercial and industrial fields. Jones is an accomplished project manager and mechanical design engineer with 24 years of experience working in municipal, government, healthcare, education, and industrial facilities, providing energy code studies and designing new mechanical systems, remodels, and upgrades.

Rolluda Architects hired Jill Pierson as an Assistant Bookkeeper. Pierson was born and raised in Washington. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from the University of Puget Sound. Before joining Rolluda Architects, Pierson worked for a combined 17 years in accounting with Howard S. Wright Construction (a Balfour Beatty company) and the EC company.

The Museum of Northwest Art's (MoNA) Board of Trustees announced the selection of Stefano Catalani as MoNA's new Executive Director. With the addition of Stefano Catalani, MoNA gains an Executive Director with 15 years of experience in leadership and operations, most recently with Gage Academy of Art. At Gage, Catalani led the organization to new levels of success and guided it through the pandemic. MoNA's current Executive Director Joanna Sikes will continue her role through the end of 2021. The Board of Trustees announced that Ms. Sikes will begin a new role as MoNA's Director of Development.
The Museum of Northwest Art, in La Conner, collects, preserves, interprets and exhibits art created in the Pacific Northwest, supports artists, and strives to integrate art into the lives of all people.

Rani Duffey has joined NAC Architecture as Marketing Coordinator. Duffey's education includes a Bachelor of Arts in marketing with a minor in data analytics from Eastern Washington University, and an Associate of Arts in communications from Spokane Community College. Her duties include preparation of proposals, statements of qualifications, interview presentation materials, award submittals, and other marketing collateral. Duffey was previously a Marketing Specialist with PowerHandling, Inc. in Spokane.

Shannon & Wilson, Inc., a geotechnical and environmental consulting firm, announced the addition of Robert Romocki, PE. Romocki is a senior dam safety engineer in the firm's Seattle office with more than 40 years of professional experience. An active member of the United States Society of Dams (USSD) and the Association of State Dam Safety Officials (ASDSO), Romocki's background includes dam safety program management, conducting risk assessments, performing technical reviews, implementing instrumentation and data collection programs, developing risk reduction plans, compliance with Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) requirements, and serving as a project engineer for site investigations, field engineering, detailed design, and construction oversight of high hazard dams and other water resource related projects.
He was most recently the Chief Dam Safety Engineer for Puget Sound Energy's Dam Safety Program where he led a staff of seven technical engineers and project managers in directing dam safety projects at the Baker River and Snoqualmie Falls hydro-electric dams. He was previously the Dam Safety Program Manager for the US Army Corps of Engineers, Seattle District overseeing high hazard dams such as Howard Hansen Dam, Mud Mountain Dam, Chief Joseph Dam, Albeni Falls Dam, and Hiram Chittenden Locks and Dam, after spending nearly 30 years at the National Resources (formerly Soil) Conservation Service. Romocki's role with Shannon & Wilson will be as a Senior Consultant for dam and water resource projects.

DCI Engineers, a civil and structural engineering firm, announced Kyle Loria, PE, has been promoted to project manager in the Seattle office. Since joining the firm, he has become a high-rise steel office and concrete/wood mixed-use structural expert. His current projects include 1001 Office Towers and The Artise, both located in Bellevue. Loria is a member of the in-house cold form steel, concrete, high-rise, steel & aluminum, and wood technical committees.

Architect Steve Schmitz has joined Jackson Main Architecture in the firm’s Seattle office. Schmitz, an AIA member, previously worked at DLR Group as a project BIM manager on civic and educational projects, specifically the Tukwila Justice Center and the replacement JBLM Joint Regional Confinement Facility. He received the AIA Henry Adams Award in 2014 upon graduating from Washington State University with a master of architecture degree.
Schmitz will be joining a team of project leads, focusing on growing the company's portfolio of multi-family projects. He will lead project design, technical development, documentation, and the delivery of medium to larger projects, or comparable components of larger projects.

Eric Zuern, joined The Riley Group Inc. (RGI), as a project manager on the environmental services team. Zuern has approximately 15 years of professional experience in the environmental field. He specializes in environmental consulting services, Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, Phase II Subsurface Investigations, and remediation projects throughout the Pacific Northwest. Zuern has also has developed strategies to characterize, mitigate, and/or remediate contaminants on numerous residential and commercial properties. RGI is a specialized environmental consulting and geotechnical firm headquartered in Bothell.
