Herrera welcomed Liliana Hansen, PWS and Betsy Lyons to its Seattle and Bellingham offices.

Hansen is a senior scientist based out of Herrera's Bellingham office. She has 15 years of professional experience with wetland delineations, stream assessments, shoreline assessments, habitat assessments, mitigation design, and mitigation monitoring. Prior to joining Herrera, Hansen was the co-owner of a small, local environmental consulting firm specializing in wetlands, habitat conservation areas, habitat assessments for FEMA compliance with ESA for public and private-sector clients.

Lyons is a senior environmental planner based out of Herrera's Seattle office. She has 20 years of experience developing and directing large complex conservation and utility projects, conservation partnerships, regional planning, and funding initiatives in the Pacific Northwest. Lyons comes to Herrera from Seattle Public Utilities where she worked as a senior capital projects coordinator for the Drainage and Wastewater Line of Business and managed SPU's Creek Culvert Repair and Replacement Program.

Morrison Hershfield

Morrison Hershfield welcomed several new staff members to its Seattle office in 2022. Jordan Armstrong and Larry Liu joined as building science consultants, and Austin Bournique joined as a CAD Technician. Armstrong is a graduate of the University of Waterloo with a degree in Civil Engineering and has recent experience with a Seattle building envelope consulting firm.

Liu is a recent graduate of the University of Waterloo with an Environmental Engineering degree and has prior experience as an intern with MH.

Bournique is a graduate of the Lake Washington Institute of Technology.

The firm also announced recent promotions. Recent promotions have been awarded to Sadie Mansour, Harry Petersen, Elisa Cheung, and Emile Wang. Mansour was promoted to building science consultant III and has been instrumental in performing u-value energy code calculations.

Petersen was also promoted to building science consultant III and acts as the office safety director and leads efforts on below grade waterproofing.

Cheung was promoted to building science consultant IV and team lead. She leads the firm's office intern program and helps recruit and train new staff.

Wang was promoted to building science consultant V and oversees project management procedures for the firm.

Morrison Hershfield also announced that Nathan Seney and Robin Kotulka became recent company principals and shareholders. Hershfield leads MH's restoration projects.

Kotulka is a team lead for the firm's design group and produces high quality building envelope drawings.

Morrison Hershfield is an employee-owned professional services firm providing engineering and management consulting services in the areas of energy and industrial, buildings, technology and telecom, transportation, environment, water and wastewater, and land development.

Parametrix President John Willis, PE has assumed the company's chief executive officer role effective Jan. 1, 2023. Willis was selected as president in June 2022, with the plan to transition into the chief executive role in January 2023.

Willis succeeds Jeff Peacock, PE, who has served as CEO for nearly 15 years. He will continue to serve Parametrix as chair of the board.

Willis joined Parametrix in 2017 and served as Oregon and Southwest Washington senior vice president prior to being selected as president. He has over 28 years of experience in the architectural and engineering industry in a variety of leadership roles. He has managed some of the region's most significant infrastructure projects including the Interstate Bridge Replacement, TriMet's Portland to Milwaukie Light Rail, and the Dreamlifter Operations Center for Boeing.

PACE Engineers has welcomed 12 new employees.

Brandon Northrop joined PACE's Everett office as a survey field technician I. Northrop is responsible for maintaining and operating vehicle and survey instrumentation, gathering and recording field data in field books, and data collection.

Chin Jewell has joined the Kirkland office as a project engineer. She is a University of Washington graduate with six years of civil engineering experience. Jewell is a member of the Municipal Department. Her daily tasks include designing water, sewer, stormwater, and private development projects.

Tami Skiles has joined PACE as the firm's talent acquisition manager. She has over 15 years of working in the AEC industry, with over 25 years in human resources. Skiles is skilled in creating innovative employee recruitment, retention, and engagement programs across departments, offices, and states.

David Riecken, PLS, joined the Wenatchee office as a survey project manager. Riecken retired from his role at King County in 2018, but his passion for surveying led him to PACE. He adds 41 years of experience to the team. He has experience in multiple project delivery approaches related to construction, civil, transportation, boundary, land development, regional county-wide mapping, and utility projects.

Jared Siegel joined the Everett Office as an environmental scientist. Siegel has over a decade of environmental consulting, government, and academic experience. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Geography from Vassar College and a Master of Science in Fisheries from the University of Alaska. Siegel joins PACE with diverse experience in salmon ecology and riverine processes for restoration projects, most recently working with NOAA's Northwest Fisheries Science Center, where he developed statistical models to evaluate the impacts on fish habitat and migration conditions in the Pacific Northwest.

Dylan Chilcote joined the Kirkland office as a survey field technician after relocating from Arkansas. He is beginning his survey career at PACE. Chilcote's daily tasks include measuring and recording data for land, building, and construction projects.

Jeff Wilkes joined the Lake Oswego office as a CAD technician. Wilkes brings over 20 years of experience working in CAD. At PACE, he works closely with engineers to design, develop, and create construction drawings in structural, survey, and civil disciplines.

Mitchell Robertson has joined the Everett office as a junior engineer. He graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering, where he completed his Capstone Project on WSDOT SR96 North Creek Fish Passage Culvert Replacement. Robertson joins the Water Resources group, primarily focused on modeling and designing fish passage and stream restoration projects for state and local public agencies.

Jaclyn Samson joined the Kirkland office as a junior planner. She studied at Western Washington University and received a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Planning and Sustainable Development with a minor in Environmental Justice. Samson assists the planning group in land use planning and water and wastewater system plans. She is an asset in documentation gathering, research, report writing, and administrative support.

Paul Dujardin joined the Everett office as a CAD technician. He brings experience working on multi-phase projects, improving workflow and communication, managing data, and documenting changes and known issues to reduce timelines.

Eli Zehner, PE, joined the Municipal Team in the Kirkland office as a senior project manager. His focus will be on serving public agencies and utility districts in the Puget Sound region. His primary responsibilities include creating construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates for water, sanitary, and storm sewer systems, preparing pre-design reports and engineering studies, and providing construction engineering support and management.

Maryann Reid joined the Wenatchee office as an administrative professional. She brings 25 years of engineering administrative support. At PACE, she will be responsible for formatting and editing reports, documents, and specifications, creating and maintaining a pleasant work environment, ensuring high levels of organization, and managing the front desk.

Blueline recently hired Andy McAndrews as director of planning. McAndrews received his degree in Housing and Urban Development with a focus on Urban Planning from Arizona University and has spent the last decade as the land use director at a local surveying company before joining Blueline.

Blueline also recently hired Amanda Hunt as a planner. Hunt received her BA in Environmental Studies with a focus on environmental policy and geography from Western Washington University and served as a land use planner for the Jefferson County Department of Community Development for the past two years.

Kristal Keating has joined the firm as a project manager. Keating attended the University of Washington where she received her degree in Civil Engineering. She worked at Blueline in 2012 and left in 2014 to live in San Diego where she worked on the San Diego Pure Water Program where sewer water was treated to be reused and drinkable.

Swenson Say Fagét Structural Engineers announced two promotions in Seattle and Tacoma and six new hires in the Seattle office in December.

Holly Ashford and Taylor Vincent were promoted to project engineers. A University of Texas/Austin graduate where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering degree in 2016, Ashford moved to Seattle and began working at SSF in 2019. Current projects include several single-family home projects and a tenant improvement in Redmond for Flatstick Pub.

Vincent graduated from Washington State University in 2018 with a Masters in Structural Engineering and started working in the SSF Tacoma office in 2019. Currently, he is working on home additions/renovations in Tacoma, Bellevue, Seattle, and Olalla, and one restaurant remodel in Tacoma.

Upon graduation from Purdue University in May with her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering/Structural Concentration, Alyssa Dang joined SSF. Along with various single-family home projects, she's also working on a new memory care facility in Allyn, Washington.

Raised in Sammamish, Elliot Holzhauer completed his Master of Science in Structural Engineering at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland earlier this year. He returned to the Seattle area to start his career and has been working on a variety of single-family residences.

Ethan Chamberlain graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Vermont. He worked in Vermont and Connecticut for five years, then moved to Seattle in 2022 and joined SSF. His focus is currently on seismic retrofit projects and single-family residential construction.

Sebastian Quintana completed his bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Washington. After three years with another firm, he joined SSF and is working on the Fryar Avenue Mixed-use project in Sumner, a commercial elevator addition in San Rafael, and some steel framing design for an office building in the U District.

SSF also welcomed new CAD staff Kellen Bresko and Brennen Herron. Bresko recently completed CAD training at Seattle Central College and joined SSF in June. Herron received his AA in Drafting Design Technology from Green River College, worked with another local structural firm for five years, and joined SSF in July.
