Project of the Month: Setting the scene for serious entertainment

Cello Technologies, recognizing that the creation of an ideal entertainment center for the home is both an art and a science, is housed in a studio and a laboratory. The group designs and installs audiovisual systems in specialized environments, combining acoustics with electronics for clients who can afford the best.

At the door of Cello, the visitor faces the tall sliding screens of the conference room.

A sculptural window frame seems to peer out of the control room like an eye. The ramp leads back to the sound room.

"The typical client is in his early to mid-40s with a residence that costs $2-3 million," said owner Tom Hall. "This office sees more traffic from the Forbes 400 than any other office in Seattle."
