Flip/Flop House combines a main house on the left and an accessory dwelling unit on the right. The design takes advantage of space at the edges of a corner lot in a single-family neighborhood. A fenced garden for the ADU is set slightly above street level. The ADU entry is just down the street to the right.

Corner lots put single-family home designers in an awkward position, with not one — but two — street-edge setbacks to consider. But some say the street corner is the perfect place to bring in a little more density and better urban design, without breaking radically with the single-family environment.
