Bellevue Galleria

Schroeder USA Corp. has appointed Pat Morosic as general manager of the Bellevue Galleria. Morosic joins Schroeder after 13 years with the City of Seattle, including 12 years as manager of contracts and concessions at Seattle Center.

Bellevue Square

Forget-Me-Not, a retailer specializing in children's apparel, hand-painted furniture and vintage room decor, opened on Bellevue Square's second floor on July 22. Owner Barbara Al-Othaimeen moved the store from its former Issaquah location.

McCann-Erickson Seattle

MES has hired six employees and promoted three. Joining the staff are Crystal Wendt, print media accountant; Maria Luz Burri, IT technician; Stacy Berston, assistant buyer; Marisa Lampson, assistant media buyer; Kelsey Wohluter, LCI coordinator and Beth Corbley, assistant media planner. Dave Betts, who has been promoted to the position of senior account executive, will continue his work on Experience Music Project and the company website. Niki Woodard has been promoted to creative assistant, and Katie Kloida has moved to media planner from her former job as assistant media planner.

OneBuild

OneBuild, a Mountain View, Calif.-based business-to-business construction materials marketplace and Rentmaker, a Boston-based 24-hour marketplace for equipment and tool rentals, announced an agreement that provides OneBuild customers with a more streamlined and efficient way of soliciting competitive bids on construction tool and equipment rentals. Based on the terms of the agreement, OneBuild customers will have direct access to the Rentmaker site that will provide them with a cost-effective alternative to procuring items only needed on a temporary basis.

Employeesavings.com, a Bellevue-based provider of Web-based work/life solutions used by Fortune 500 employees to balance the responsibilities of work and home, announced that former FileNET Corp. executive Brian Colbeck, has joined the company as chief financial officer. As CFO, Colbeck will oversee the development and execution of the employeesavings.com financial strategy.

Hillis Clark Martin & Peterson

Noelle E. Harman has joined the Seattle law firm as an associate. Harman, a Gonzaga University School of Law and Pacific Lutheran University graduate, was formerly a tax associate with the accounting firm of Deloitte & Touche.

Charter Bank

Tom Robertson, who holds a B.S. in numerical analysis from the University of Washington, has joined Bellevue's Charter Bank as the manager of information technology. Robertson comes to Bellevue after 16 years with Fiserv, Inc., and two and a half years with the Commerce Bank of Washington.

Meals.com

Meals.com, a December 1999 startup, has hired a number of people.

Mark Seals joins the company as cheif operating officer. Seals was most recently senior vice president of operations for Tricon Global Restaurants' international division, with international sales of $6.5 billion. Before his 10 years with PepsiCo/Tricon, he spent 10 years planning with Anheuser Busch as head of subsidiary Eagle Snacks.

Russ Ruby comes to Meals.com as vice president of Marketing, retailer programs. Ruby has 20 years experience in merchandising, marketing and retail management for companies such as American Stores, Loblaw's and Peapod.

Peter Barbaresi joins as executive vice president of sales. He was most recently president of Rembrandt, Inc., a manufacturer of photographic, CD and DVD storage products.

Tom Page comes to the company as vice president of technology. After working for Electronic Data Systems, Page spent nine years at Nordstrom Inc., overseeing technology support for the company's internet and catalog operation.

Teresa Bergstrom Rodgriguez joined as director of marketing for the company website. Bergstrom spent nine years at Procter and Gamble before acting as director of affiliate programs at Celebrate Express.com.

Katie Rosenfeldcomes to Meals.com as director of marketing for in-store delivery. She leaves Ukrop's Super Markets Inc. from the position of director of e-commerce initiatives.

Jeanine Sherry joins the company as nutritionist. She is also president of New Wellness, which has offices in Seattle and Richmond, Va.

JoAnne Naganawa will be in charge of maintaining and growing the company database of recipes as CFCS, home economist and recipe group supervisor. She has done work with Darigold and Evans/Kraft Advertising. Naganawa has created recipes for Starbucks Coffee, among other companies.

Tatiana Sve joins as marketing manager; she was senior marketing specialist for Radiant Research in Kirkland.

Shari Hallahan will be marketing project manager. Before joining Meals.com, Hallahan was director of national sales for Pacific Valley Foods Inc.

Shannon Borg joins the staff as copywriter. She holds a PhD in english literature and creative writing from the University of Houston.

George White works as public relations specialist for Coinstar/Meals.com. Before joining the company, White spent 10 years as the Public Information Officer for the Housing and Community Development Corp. or Hawaii.

Tim O'Leary joins Coinstar/Meals.com as public relations specialist. O'Leary joins the staff after five years with KOMO ABC 4. He has almost 20 years experience as a television anchor, reporter and producer

Kidder Mathews & Segner adding brokers

Kidder Mathews & Segner last year out-grew competing commercial brokerage houses to become the Puget Sound area's largest brokerage based on number of brokers. Kidder's march continues. Kidder hires mostly by attracting experienced brokers from other firms. Some of its latest catches, according to executive vice president Gordon Buchan, include: retail broker Tim O'Kane, who came from Northwest Retail Partners; industrial broker Matt Wood from Norris Beggs & Simpson (where Wood's father is an owner in Portland); Eastside office and industrial broker Tom Robison, over from president of Regency Group; and office and investment broker Peter Norman, making the switch from Windermere in Tacoma. Buchan said that brings Kidder to 81 licensed brokers, including the firm's three managers.

Davis Wright Tremaine

Danette M. Capello and Stephanie M. Hicks became real estate and land use attorneys at Davis Wright Tremaine, both as associates. Capello received her law degree at the University of Washington. Hicks received her B.A. from UW and law degree from Willamette University in Oregon.

Two Re/Max Realtors offices combine

Re/Max Canyon Park Realty of Bothell and Re/Max Northwest Realtors of Seattle merged to become Re/Max Northwest Realtors.

Qpoint changes name

Quickdraw Real Estate Services, Inc., the owner of the Canyon Creek and Lakeside offices of Qpoint Home Mortgage Loans, will become HomeStar Lending beginning Aug. 1.

S&P assigns high rating to local properties

Standard & Poor's gave its highest possible rating to Seattle-area affordable housing bond issues. Four transactions received the rating of 'A+' due to strong financial operating performance. S&P said it issued only six A+ ratings nationwide.

Lowe to market Boeing's Kent project

Boeing Realty Corp. said it hired Lowe Enterprises to sell 47 acres of the planned 240-acre Pacific Gateway Business Park in Kent. This spring, Boeing began preparing the land for development as a major business park north of the Kent Space center, the first time that Boeing assumed the role of commercial land developer in this area. Boeing said it intends to conduct the land development and then sell sites to building developers.
