EQE

James DeSalvo of EQE's Seattle office has been promoted to vice president. He has 25 years of structural and seismic engineering experience and spent the last year as regional manager while the Seattle office grew by 40 percent.

Greg Gilda has been promoted to the level of associate. He specializes in structural design for wood buildings, and recent projects include Fremont Block 40 mixed use and numerous church assembly halls.

John Riley has also been promoted to associate at EQE, with 15 years of structural design experience. His current projects include Issaquah Middle School, Montreux II mixed-use and the Sea-Tac International Airport passenger terminal renovation.

Dan Symonds has been promoted to the level of associate. He has 24 years of structural design experience specializing in commercial and residential design. He recently provided design review for the 199 Fremont High Rise in San Francisco and seismic engineering for Colgate-Palmolive projects in Turkey and Greece.

ZGF

Zimmer Gunsul Frasca Partnership has promoted six staff members to the level of associate.

Andrea Bellon is a senior interior designer, recently involved with the St. Andrews project and Cedar Court tenant improvements for Microsoft. Other projects include the Haggard Hall renovation for Western Washington University in Bellingham, the Amazon.com corporate headquarters and the Washington Athletic Club remodel.

Brian Iverson is a project architect with a focus on interior design. He is currently serving as project architect for the IDX System Corporation headquarters. He also served as project architect for the RealNetworks corporate headquarters in Seattle and for the complete interior and exterior renovation of Safeco's regional office building in Cincinnati.

Shawn Mahoney is a project architect who has been a key team member on several project for Microsoft including Pebble Beach, Cedar Court and St. Andrews. He has also worked on the Boeing Defense and Space Group and Edmonds Community College.

Erik Mott is a designer with nine years of experience. At ZGF, he has been involved in the planning and design of the IDX Tower at Fourth & Madison for Hines, the Millennium Tower for Martin Smith Development Corporation and Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.

Jennifer Schiele-Schroeder is a space planner and interior designer. She has worked on several buildings at Microsoft's main campus in Bellevue, Good Samaritan Hospital's Children's Therapy Unit in Puyallup and Overlake Hospital's lobby pavilion.

Anne Whitacre is the specifications manager for ZGF's Seattle office. In addition to the Millennium Tower, Amazon.com headquarters and the World Trade Center North for Wright Runstad, she has been involve in several hospital projects.

Bush, Roed & Hitchings

Greg Izzo, a graduate of Widener University in Philadelphia, has been hired as a design engineer at Bush Roed & Hitchings. He is now at work on several commercial projects and a drainage study for the Budget/Hilton Hotel at SeaTac.

Nancy Caron has joined the firm as a CAD technician, with 20 years of drafting experience. She is currently working on Holly Court for the Seattle Housing Authority, several commercial projects in Pierce County and a project at Valley View Medical Center.

SvR

Linda Frkuska has joined SvR Design Company as landscape designer and AutoCAD technician. Her projects will include Port Townsend F Street improvements, Holly Park Redevelopment and various school and site development projects.

The firm has also named three senior engineers as new associates. John Baggs has recently been working on spot drainage for Seattle Public Utilities, Redmond Senior High School and Strandley Manning Lower Pond restoration.

Dave Rogers is project manager for the Capitol Campus hillside stabilization and utilities improvement project and project manager for the third phase of Holly Park Redevelopment.

Jeff Lamoureux is project manager for the Port Townsend F Street Improvements, and is also working on several projects for AT&T/TCI.

PAE

David Wouters has joined PAE Consulting Engineers of Portland as an electrical designer specializing in systems for health care, education and commercial establishments. He is currently working on the Tri-Met Denver Light Rail System.

Conrad Brown has joined the firm with ten years of mechanical design experience in the fields of heating, ventilation and air conditioning, plumbing and fire protection. He is currently working on several advanced technology projects.

Greg Parthemer has joined PAE as a lighting designer with 18 years of experience. He is currently working on projects for Wells Fargo Bank.

Stoel Rives

Timothy O'Connell has been named principal in the Seattle law office of Stoel Rives. O'Connell's practice emphasizes labor and employment law and telecommunications law. His labor and employment practice includes NLRB proceedings, equal employment and discrimination cases before administrative agencies and courts, wrongful discharge litigation, wage and hour issues and general personal management.

Ashley Gardens Management

J. David McNayr has joined Issaquah-based Alzheimers care company Ashley Gardens Management as president and CEO. McNayr has more than 10 years management experience in the assisted living and retirement industry. He will be responsible for management, operations, marketing and staffing for the company.

Photozone.com

Photozone.com, a Seattle-based provider of online event photography, has named Jim Nichols as the company's president. Nichols served as a strategic advisor building the company's national network of photographers and developing new technology and software applications to assist with the company's expansion. He replaces Natalie Angeillo who had served as both president and CEO. Angeillo now concentrates her full attention to her responsibilities as CEO.

Cost-U-Less

Cost-U-Less, a Preston-based operator of non-membership warehouse "club-style" stores, announced the promotions of Roy Sorenson to vice president and chief operating officer, and Martin Moore to vice president and chief financial officer. Sorenson was previously chief financial officer while Moore was the company's controller. Also promoted were Bob Cain to vice president of logistics and Brian Rose to vice president of Pacific operations.

GeoAgents.com, a Olympia-based company that provides travel retailers with technology and services to Internet enable their businesses, has joined in a partnership with the National Association of Cruise Oriented Agencies (NACOA). GeoAgents.com announced that it will provide e-commerce tools and Internet support for NACOA, including building the group's website
