Banner Bank

Banner Bank has opened branches in Kent and Mercer Island. New employees in Kent are branch manager Mike Mathews, residential construction lender Kurt Benya, commercial loan center manager Chuong Nguyen and real estate loan officer Marianne Sitcov. At the Mercer Island branch, Pamela Goulder is new branch manager.

Windstar Cruises

Seattle-based Windstar Cruises appointed Gerald Moesslinger manager of marine hotel operations. Windstar operates three yachts that cruise to ports in Europe, the Caribbean and the Americas.

AAA

Bellevue-based AAA Washington/Inland promoted Denise Justice to regional manager. Becky Rhodes was promoted to a service center manager in Seattle's University District. The company also hired Richard McCann as Lynnwood service center manager and promoted Denise Cronin to Federal Way service center manager.

Seattle Steam

Timothy J. Clancy is Seattle Steam Co.'s new vice president of business development, in charge of communications, sales and marketing. Clancy worked for the U.S. Department of Commerce for more than 20 years and replaces Seattle Steam's former director of marketing Lanny Wuerch, who retired last year after 18 years with the firm.

Washington Mutual

Washington Mutual promoted two to lead its retail banking unit: Michael Amato, president of retail banking distribution and Ken Kido, president of banking products and operations. New senior leaders in its mortgage unit are John Berens, Youyi Chen and Bill Murray. All three came to the company from JP Morgan Chase. The company is searching for someone to head its home loans business, a move that will allow Craig Chapman to focus on the company's commercial lines of business.

Nautilus

Vancouver's Nautilus is promoting William D. "Bill" Meadowcroft to chief financial officer this month. Meadowcroft replaces Rod Rice, who is retiring after 11 years with the company. Nautilus markets and develops health and fitness products.

Strategic Development, Ultimate Journeys

Seattle's Strategic Development Corp. and Ultimate Journeys announced they will work together to plan corporate retreats and seminars. Norm Levy is president of Strategic Development, an executive consulting firm that specializes in corporate strategy and organizational development. Russ Goodman is chief executive officer of Ultimate Journeys, which plans executive-level travel and events.

Seattle Genetics

Bothell company Seattle Genetics promoted Eric L. Dobmeier to senior vice president of corporate development. Dobmeier was vice president of corporate affairs. Seattle Genetics works on antibody-based therapeutics to treat cancer and immunologic diseases.

KCTS Television

Robert J. Flowers, a recently retired senior vice president at Washington Mutual, has been elected chair of the KCTS Television board of directors. He replaces outgoing board chair Douglas Beighle. Other new board members are Jill Bodkin of Vancouver, B.C.-based Golden Heron Enterprises, and Anne V. Farrell of the Seattle Public Library Foundation Board of Directors.

Nadler Law Group

Connie Sue Manos Martin recently joined Seattle-based Nadler Law Group. Martin's practice involves environmental, land use and natural resources law and Indian law.

King County District Court

The National Judicial College announced that King County District Court's Honorable Mark C. Chow has finished a course on managing cases involving people with mental disabilities. Judge Chow presides over the Mental Health Court in the King County area.

Mayor's Office

Mayor Greg Nickels appointed former Seattle Times business reporter Marty McOmber as a senior communications and policy advisor in the Mayor's Office. McOmber will be on Nickels' senior policy team and coordinate communications for several city departments.
