James M. Waldon has joined the Seattle office of law firm Lane Powell as an associate attorney in the aviation law group. He was lead counsel at Alaska Airlines and senior attorney at Trans World Airlines.
Allen D. Clark has returned to the Davis Wright Tremaine Seattle office after three and a half years practicing law in China and serving as partner-in-charge of the firm's Shanghai office.
Wanda Hackett has joined the Mockingbird Society as programs manager. The nonprofit is focused on building a better foster care system. Hackett will help replicate the Mockingbird Family Model across the state and nationally.
Xerox Corp. employee Cyndi Quan-Trotter will take a one-year, paid sabbatical to volunteer with Antioch Adoptions, a nonprofit in Redmond. She will help Antioch develop systems that allow it to grow beyond Washington state.

Michael Harrington of Blue Dragon Communications is launching a new company, Harrington Training Group, offering presentation skills trainings, media training and executive coaching. Blue Dragon Communications will continue to provide communication and consulting services.
eMagin founder Gary Jones is stepping down as CEO and president after 15 years, but will continue to work as a consultant on strategic partnerships and merger and acquisition opportunities. Dr. K.C. Park, executive vice president, has been appointed interim CEO and president. The Bellevue company is involved in virtual imaging technology.
Seattle-based HyperQuality, a contact center quality assurance firm, named Joe Caliro executive vice president of quality. He has held executive positions for AOL, Verizon, GTE and Pearle Vision.
Seattle Publishing said Paul Clark, one of the original developers of the Gutenberg Publishing System, has retired after 16 years of running the company. Jay Stilwell was named CEO. He has been business development director.
