Law firm Stoel Rives added John M. Sharp to the Real Estate Practice Group in the Seattle office. Before joining Stoel Rives, Sharp built a successful real estate business, representing buyers and sellers of single-family homes and condominiums. Stoel Rives is based in Portland.
Roger Lennox Jansson has joined Davis Wright Tremaine in its Seattle office as part of the Health Care Practice Group. Jansson was an associate at Bennett, Bigelow & Leedom. Davis Wright Tremaine has 480 attorneys internationally.
Suzanne M. Larsen joins Foster Pepper as a member in the Seattle Real Estate Practice Group. Prior to joining Foster Pepper, Larsen was vice president and area/regional counsel of fidelity national title group. Foster Pepper has offices in Seattle, Spokane and Portland.
Salem Communications named Joe Heslet market manager for Salem Seattle. Heslet will oversee operations of the five-station radio cluster. Joe Gonzalez continues as station manager for Seattle's KLFE and KGNW. Heslet was with Fisher Communications. Salem Communications is a radio broadcaster, Internet content provider and magazine publisher targeting audiences with conservative values.

The University of Washington Business School announced that Leonard Lavin, founder and chairman emeritus of the Alberto-Culver Company, has donated $2 million to establish the Leonard and Bernice Lavin Entrepreneurial Action Program (LEAP). The goal of LEAP is to produce a new generation of successful entrepreneurs from the UW Business School. Lavin attended the UW. The LEAP program will be administered through the School's Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, which helps foster student entrepreneurs. Special field trips, lecture series and internships will be a part of LEAP. Twenty-five undergraduate students will be admitted to the program each year beginning in fall of 2008.
Allstate Insurance has a new agency in Redmond, owned and operated by Eric Penz. It is located at 16126 N.E. 87th St. Penz worked for ten years as agency manager at the same location and took over ownership responsibilities when the previous owner, Brad Gunn, retired.
Point B Solutions Group, a professional-services firm specializing in project leadership, promoted Dave Boland to managing director at its Seattle practice. Boland has been with Point B for ten years. Point B has practices in Seattle, Portland, Denver, Chicago, Phoenix and San Francisco.

Seattle-based Noble House Hotels & Resorts named Carol Baetzel corporate director of public relations. She has 23 years of public relations experience in the hotel hospitality industry. Noble House Hotels & Resorts owns and manages 13 boutique hotels and resorts.
Clothier & Head has added Mary Norwalk as a financial analyst in the consulting department. She has more than two years of experience in public accounting. Clothier & Head is a locally owned certified public accounting firm.
