Bank of Everett hired Theresa Robinson as vice president and senior commercial relationship officer. Robinson has been in banking for more than 20 years in the greater Puget Sound area.
Teens in Public Service, a nonprofit that connects Seattle teens with community service jobs, received a $10,000 grant from the Seattle Foundation. The grant is for general operating funds and was awarded through the Graham Carpenter Fund. The Seattle Foundation seeks to build healthy communities for King County residents.
Bellevue-based Talyst, a pharmacy automation company, hired Gary Johnson as vice president of pharmacy practice solutions. Johnson was with Parkview Health System, a six-hospital system based in Fort Wayne, Ind.
Kirkland-based Electronic Evidence Discovery hired Kurt Walker as vice president of client services. Electronic Evidence Discovery is a national company that specializes in electronic discovery.
Mackay Restaurants promoted Emily Wendell to sales and marketing manager for all Tacoma restaurants including El Gaucho Tacoma and Sea Grill. Wendell was one of the first servers hired when El Gaucho Tacoma opened in 2001, and was most recently private dining captain at the restaurant. Seattle-based Mackay has restaurants in Seattle, Tacoma and Portland.

Banner Bank hired Christine Chi as vice president/client manager at the Bellevue Corporate Banking Center. Prior to joining Banner Bank, Chi was with the Business Banking Group for Wells Fargo. Banner Bank is a commercial bank headquartered in Walla Walla.
KemperSports hired Kristin Wells as sales and marketing director of Chambers Bay, the soon-to-open, links-style golf course in University Place. Wells last served as new business development manager for Air New Zealand. KemperSports is based in Northbrook, Ill., and operates golf facilities, athletic clubs, lodging venues and major sporting events.
Kirkpatrick & Lockhart Preston Gates Ellis hired partners Tom Bassett and Philip J. Carstens and of counsel Jody K. Hamilton to the firm's business and corporate practices. All three come to K&L Gates from Lukins & Annis. K&L Gates comprises approximately 1,400 lawyers in 22 offices located in North America, Europe and Asia.
Seattle-based Aronson Security Group hired Jack Turley as vice president of sales. Turley was with Integral Technologies. Aronson Security Group is an independent security integrator for enterprise security solutions.
