Dave Syferd & Partners

Seattle-based advertising and public relations agency Dave Syferd & Partners added two new employees and made one promotion. Karen Griego was promoted to advertising account coordinator. Her accounts include Banner Bank, Technogym USA and Darigold. Patrick Bradley is junior electronic production artist. Bradley worked for Idearc MEDIA. Sarah Conway is a receptionist/administrative assistant. She was with Queen Anne Healthcare.

Professional Convention Management Assoc.

Sharon DelaBarre of DelaBarre & Associates in Sequim has been named board chairman of the Chicago-based Professional Convention Management Association. DelaBarre has 25 years of experience as an independent meeting planner and helped found the association's Pacific Northwest Chapter, one of 16 chapters nationwide.

Dow Hotel Company

Seattle-based Dow Hotel Company announced the Skyview Room in the Hilton Hotel Bellevue is complete. Formerly Misty's Lounge, The Skyview Room will provide 4,500 square feet of additional function space. The Dow Hotel Company is a national hotel owner/investor and operator of hotels.

PNGC Power

PNGC Power, a Portland-based power services cooperative, hired Dan James as vice president of public affairs & marketing. James replaces Scott Corwin who was recently named director of the Public Power Council. PNGC is owned by 15 Northwest electric distribution cooperative utilities and has service territory in seven western states.

Clark Nuber

Clark Nuber, a CPA firm in Bellevue, hired Jason Chong in IT desk support, Carla Zabriskie as a receptionist and Cindy Doyle, Stephanie Hofstee and Misty Queen as outsourcing specialists.

UW Tacoma

The University of Washington Tacoma hired Susan Wagshul-Golden as director of campus safety. Wagshul-Golden has 14 years of public safety experience in urban college environments, most recently at Hunter College in Manhattan.

icon Grill and Zephyr Grill & Bar

Seattle's icon Grill and sister restaurant Zephyr Grill & Bar in Kent hired Benjamin Resnick as chef de cuisine. Resnick worked at icon Grill when it first opened, before taking a nine-year break. He was recently head chef at Buckley's on Queen Anne.

Arnerich Massena

Portland-based investment management company Arnerich Massena expanded its analytical staff. Daniel J. Block was promoted to co-director of traditional research. Mukunda Loprinzi and Colin Jacobs are new analysts. Dana Millican has been promoted to operations manager of analytics.

Avanade Canada

Avanade, a global IT consultancy based in Seattle, promoted Jeff Kempiners as chief technology officer, Canada. Kempiners was hired in 2000 as a solution architect in the U.S.-Central region.

Weber Shandwick

The Seattle office of Weber Shandwick hired Renay San Miguel as senior vice president in the WCTV broadcast unit. San Miguel is a former CNN anchor who spent 25 years in broadcasting. Weber Shandwick is a public relations agency that focuses on technology.

Foster Pepper

Foster Pepper announced that Judy Runstad, an of counsel in the firm's Real Estate and Land Use practice groups, was awarded a Corporate Director of the Year Award for 2007 by the Seattle-Northwest Chapter of the National Association of Corporate Directors. The award is a recognition given to a leader in the public company boardroom. Foster Pepper has offices in Seattle, Spokane and Portland.
