KCTS Television

Dick Warsinske has been named interim vice president of operations and general manager of KCTS Television. Warsinske was a senior vice president and general manager of KOMO-TV. Randy Brinson, former general manager, has been appointed executive director of content development, a newly created position.

Northwest Hospital & Medical Center

Northwest Hospital & Medical Center hired Anita S. Uppal as a board-certified internist. She will be joining the practice of Sand Point Internists at Northwest Outpatient Medical Center. Uppal earned her medical degree from Dayanand Medical College in Ludhiana, Punjab, India.

EvergreenBank

EvergreenBank promoted Vernice Harris to manager of the South Lake Union branch in downtown Seattle. Harris has been with EvergreenBank for 10 years and has worked in banking for 23 years. EvergreenBank operates six full-service branches.

Graham & Dunn

Seattle-based law firm Graham & Dunn hired Kathleen T. Petrich for the Intellectual Property Team. She got her law degree from the University of Puget Sound in 1992.

YMCA Youth & Government

The YMCA Youth & Government Board of Directors chose William Downing, King County Superior Court judge, to receive the 2007 Robert F. Utter Award. Downing was honored for working with the YMCA Mock Trial Program for 20 years.

The Seattle Propeller Club

The Seattle Propeller Club named Port of Tacoma Commissioner R. Ted Bottiger its 2007 Elected Official of the Year. Bottiger, a former state legislator and senate majority leader, was recognized for his leadership in the maritime community.

Davis Wright Tremaine

The Seattle office of Davis Wright Tremaine hired Joe M. Wallin as a partner in the Corporate Finance Practice Group. He was a partner at DLA Piper US. Davis Wright has 480 attorneys internationally

City of Snohomish

The city of Snohomish hired Debbie Emge as its first economic development manager. Emge was vice president for the Snohomish County Economic Development Council.

Wexley School for Girls

Wexley School for Girls, the Seattle-based advertising agency, hired Brian Marr as managing director. Marr was a client from Microsoft where he helped launch Windows Vista. Wexley School for Girls combines non-traditional approaches like short films and steel drum performances to entertain a marketing target.

City University

City University has changed its name to City University of Seattle as part of a 15-month rebranding effort. The university will launch an advertising campaign and Web site. The name change also applies to international sites, so the school in Beijing will be called City University of Seattle in Beijing.

Citizens Service Bureau

Mayor Greg Nickels named Darby Ducomb head of the Citizens Service Bureau. The bureau provides information and resolves complaints regarding any city department.

Matrix Resources

Matrix Resources, an information technology staffing and solutions firm, hired Chase Scully to lead the Seattle-Tacoma office. Scully has nine years of experience.
