Holly Iosso of the Seattle-based tree consulting firm Tree Solutions has passed her certification exam from the Pacific Northwest chapter of the International Society of Arboriculture and is now a certified arborist. She has been with the company since September of 2006.
The Westin Seattle added four managers. At the Westin Seattle, Michael Smutzer has been promoted to director of the front office, Dana Smith has been promoted to director of service express and Donald Gerrie has been hired as director of housekeeping. Kathy Fuentes has been promoted to general manager of The Westin at Marion Oliver McCaw Hall Opera House. Westin is the beverage and food catering company for McCaw Hall.
The King County Bar Association and the Oregon State Bar are honoring the Portland-based law firm Stoel Rives for its pro bono work. The King County Bar Association is giving Stoel Rives and Andy Guy, the firm's Seattle pro bono coordinator, an award for outstanding service. The Oregon State Bar gave Stoel Rives the Pro Bono Challenge Award for the highest level of pro bono service in the large firm category. Stoel Rives has 350 attorneys in nine offices nationally.
The Association of Washington Business announced the National Work Readiness Council has elected Mike Hudson, executive director of the Institute for Workforce Development and Economic Sustainability, to its board of directors. The board elected Hudson because of his affiliation with AWB and experience on Washington's Workforce Training and Education Coordinating Board, AWB said.
Jack Hedge has joined the Port of Tacoma as manager of real estate. He focuses on real estate acquisitions for industrial development in the Tacoma Tideflats area. Hedge worked for Wood Group Power of Atlanta.

Seattle Public Utilities hired Ticiang Diangson as director of its Environmental Justice and Service Equity Division. Diangson has worked for the city since 1981 and has worked in environmental justice since 1985. The division was formed in 2005 to ensure that all citizens receive equitable services.
Seattle law firm Davis Wright Tremaine hired Mark J. Usellis as director of marketing and business development. Usellis was with End2End Strategies. Davis Wright has 480 lawyers worldwide.
Shilo Inns promoted Christopher Campbell to chief executive officer and chief financial officer. Campbell was chief financial officer and has 25 years of hospitality experience. The Portland-based hotel chain has 44 locations and more than 200 Shilo-affiliate hotels throughout North America.
Kirkland-based Air Van, a transportation company specializing in technology innovations for moving services, hired Kevin T. Moen to lead its Move Assistance Program. The program allows customers to access multiple lines of Air Van's services from employee relocation to specialized transportation. Moen was at John L. Scott's corporate office.
Seattle-based advertising and public relations agency Dave Syferd & Partners added Chelsea Mitchell to its team as a media buyer.
The Seattle Symphony hired Lisa Parker as senior director of audience development, Bob Lowy as director of human resources and volunteers, and Lisa Yamilkoski as chief financial officer. Parker was a senior consultant with Target Resource Group and has directed marketing programs for Seattle's Pacific Northwest Ballet and the Texas Ballet Theatre in Fort Worth. Lowy was executive director of human resources at Stevens Hospital in Edmonds. Yamilkoski was CFO at West Seattle Psychiatric Hospital/Highline West Seattle Mental Health.
