The law firm of Rohde & Van Kampen in Seattle added Devra Featheringill as an associate. Featheringill has worked with Bush Strout & Kornfeld and Stoel Rives.
Foster Pepper hired Douglas L. Davies as a member of the law firm's Litigation and Dispute Resolution and Financial Institutions Groups. Davies was a shareholder at Lane Powell. Foster Pepper has offices in Seattle, Spokane and Portland.
World Trade Center Seattle hired Melissa Martin as director of sponsorship. Martin spent 14 years helping senior citizens and their families in Pierce County. The World Trade Center Seattle is one of 300 such centers worldwide.
Gov. Chris Gregoire announced Paula Hammond is interim secretary for the Washington Department of Transportation. Hammond was chief of staff at WSDOT.

Bellevue-based IceBreaker, a mobile social software company, hired David Laub as chief financial officer. CFO Selections, a local recruiting firm, identified Laub for the job. Laub has 25 years of experience. IceBreaker has office in Bellevue and Beijing.
Mayor Greg Nickels and the Seattle City Council are seeking candidates for the newly formed Seattle Immigrant and Refugee Advisory Board. The board will advise the mayor and council on issues affecting immigrant and refugee communities in Seattle. Lexus of Bellevue is a new 300,000-square-foot dealership in Bellevue, located on the property of Bellevue's old City Hall. The showroom has flat-screen televisions, a baby grand piano and a fireplace. The dealership is a member of the O'Brien Auto Group and is the brainchild of owner Michael O'Brien and the dealership's general manager Mark Babcock.
Pierce County hired Dr. Eric Kiesel as its medical examiner. Kiesel worked in Atlanta for nine years as deputy chief medical examiner for Fulton County. He replaces Dr. John Howard who moved to Spokane County.
