Tacoma Community College hired Jon Kime as director of corporate education. Kime was vice president for business development at Coastal BSG in Olympia.
Alvarez & Marsal Taxand in Seattle hired Robert Filip as managing director. He has 20 years experience and was managing director of the federal tax practices of PricewaterhouseCoopers in Seattle and Portland. Alvarez & Marsal Taxand is a professional services firm.

Seattle-based First Sound Bank promoted John Maihofer from cash management officer to assistant vice president. Maihofer joined First Sound in 2006 and began his banking career in 2000.
Seattle-based Big Fish Games, a developer and distributor of online games, has acquired Thinglefin, a developer of massively multi-player online, or MMO games. Toby Ragaini, Jeremy Friesen and Ryan O'Rourke founded Seattle-based Thinglefin in May and will work at Big Fish Games.
U.S. Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management, a private wealth management organization, hired Pamela Rhodes as private client advisor in Seattle. Rhodes worked with and was a cofounder of Stable Partners.

Crowley Maritime Corp. is moving Rocky Smith from Jacksonville, Fla., to Seattle to manage services in the Pacific/Alaska region, and John Douglass from Seattle to Jacksonville to run several services based in the Atlantic/Gulf region. Smith has worked with Crowley for 26 years and will be senior vice president and general manager, Pacific/Alaska.
Kevin M. Hughes has been hired as managing director of Seattle's ACT — A Contemporary Theatre. Hughes worked at his own public affairs firm but has previous experience with the Empty Space Theatre, Seattle Arts Commission and ACT.

Lynden-based Peoples Bank opened its third King County office in Ballard. The branch is at 5600 24th Ave. N.W. Staff members include Kristen Juan-Snyder as branch manager, Dennis Montgomery as senior vice president and business banking team leader, Keith Dingfield as vice president and commercial lending officer, and DeAnna Raihl as assistant vice president and marine lending manager.
Destination Hotels & Resorts hired Norm Dillard, Ben Bradway and Angela Shaughnessy to work for the Suncadia resort near Roslyn. Dillard is director of food and beverage. He was at MGM Grand Detroit Casino in Detroit. Bradway is director of facilities and engineering. He worked at the Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino in New York City. Shaughnessy is director of revenue and reservations and will be located at Suncadia's Bellevue Hospitality Sales and Marketing Office. She worked for Pointe South Mountain Resort in Phoenix. Suncadia is managed by Destination Hotels & Resorts, headquartered in suburban Denver.
