Hillis Clark Martin & Peterson

The Seattle office of law firm Hillis Clark Martin & Peterson hired Katie S. Chapman and Michael “Jake” Ewart. Chapman's focus is on business and real estate matters. Ewart's practice will emphasize litigation matters.

Western Washington Fair Association

W. David Schodde was elected president of the Western Washington Fair Association, Puyallup. Schodde will oversee events at the Puyallup Fair & Events Center throughout the year including the Puyallup Fair in September and Oktoberfest in October. Schodde is the president and CEO of E.L.M. Industries, a landscape, irrigation and utility underground construction company.

Gilmore Research Group

Gilmore Research Group's Focus Division has opened new offices in Portland. Gilmore also hired Donna Glosser who will oversee operations in both Seattle and Portland. She has 25 years experience in the marketing industry.

Washington Restaurant Association

The Washington Restaurant Association Education Foundation in Olympia hired Lyle Hildahl as director of education. Hildahl has been director of the culinary arts program at Skagit Valley College for the past 24 years. He has also owned and operated several restaurants in the state. The Washington Restaurant Association, in its 78th year, is a business association for the restaurant industry.

EvergreenBank

Jim Storvick has joined EvergreenBank as senior vice president, relationship manager. Storvick will be based at the Federal Way office. The bank primarily serves King, Pierce and Snohomish counties through offices in Seattle, Bellevue, Federal Way and Lynnwood.

Foster Pepper

The Seattle office of law firm Foster Pepper hired Miriam H. Cho and Matthew A. Nyman. Cho is an associate in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Group. She worked at Goodwin Procter in Washington, D.C. Nyman is of counsel in the Real Estate Group. He has 13 years of corporate transactional legal experience and was senior counsel at Wyndham Vacation Ownership in Redmond.

Washington State University

Howard Grimes, who has headed the Graduate School at Washington State University since July 2002, will also be vice president of research. The change supports the university's efforts to focus on research and graduate education. The move will also allow James Petersen, who has served as vice provost of research since July 2002, to return to his faculty role in the College of Engineering and Architecture.

Apollo Video Technology

Apollo Video Technology has relocated to a new 45,000-square-foot manufacturing and office facility in Woodinville at 14148 N.E. 190th St. The new location will help the company accommodate growth in public and pupil transit, law enforcement, military and other industries. Apollo is a provider of on-board and in-car digital surveillance systems.
