Banner Bank hired Tom Humann and Yana Rogers as vice president/commercial loan officers in Woodinville. Humann has 15 years of experience in the financial industry and worked at GE Franchise Finance. Rogers transferred to the Woodinville team from Banner Bank's SBA team in Bellevue. Banner Bank is a commercial bank headquartered in Walla Walla.
Kibble & Prentice promoted Deanna Winchester to vice president in the Commercial Insurance Division. Winchester works with Northwest businesses to develop commercial insurance and risk management programs.
Bellevue-based Symetra Financial promoted Michael Fry to senior vice president for the group division. Fry has been with Symetra for six years and assumes leadership of the division from Scott Taylor who will be retiring after overseeing group operations for 26 years. Symetra's Group division provides employers with medical stop-loss insurance, limited medical benefit plans and other programs.

HomeStreet Bank hired Jay Dogan as a loan officer at HomeStreet Capital, the commercial real estate financing division of HomeStreet. He will be based in Seattle.
KeyBank hired Randy J. Robinson as vice president and west region manager, community development lending. Robinson was a deputy director at Fannie Mae in Seattle. He will be responsible for community development lending in Washington, Oregon, Alaska, Colorado and Idaho.
HRnovations, a full service human resource consulting firm in Bellevue, said Mike Komola, Nancy Komola and Amy Efroymson are new principal owners. The three were employed by HRnovations prior to the sale and acquired the company from Jan Harding and Drew Thoresen. Harding will continue working with the company, Thoresen retired and was replaced by Michele King as CFO and operations director. Under the new leadership, Mike Komola is president, Nancy Komola is consulting director, and Efroymson is business development director. HRnovations was founded in 1989 by Harding.

Malcolm Lindquist, a shareholder at Lane Powell, was elected to the American Law Institute. Lindquist chairs the Financial Institutions Industry Group practices in Seattle and Tacoma. About 4,000 attorneys across the nation are members of ALI, which is based in Philadelphia. Election to the institute is a competitive process.
CFO Selections in Bellevue hired Tim Zier and Pearl Chan as new CFOs. Zier has 30 years of experience with companies such as Applied Precision and Wavelink Corp. Chan was corporate controller and treasurer at Isilon Systems. Joe Koelzer has also rejoined CFO Selections after helping to launch a start-up in Seattle.
The U.S. Small Business Administration's Seattle District Office named Carlos Veliz, president/CEO and owner of PCSI Design in Bothell, as the 2008 Washington State SBA Minority Small Business Champion of the Year. PCSI is a product design and engineering services company.
