Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences hired Robert Sutton as vice president of academic affairs. Sutton has been interim vice president of academic affairs since joining the university in 2007. He previously worked at Genesys Health System in Michigan. PNWU works in communities across the Pacific Northwest.

B2B CFO

B2B CFO, a firm that provides financial services to companies, has expanded in the Puget Sound region. Glenna Mileson and David Odom are serving as part-time CFO's for nine growing companies. Mileson joined the firm as a partner in the fall of 2008, becoming the firm's first partner in the Puget Sound region. Odom joined in late April.

SeaBright Insurance Holdings

SeaBright Insurance Holdings in Seattle announced that Richard Gergasko, executive vice president-operations, has been appointed chief operating officer. He has also been elected president and chief operating officer of SeaBright Insurance Co., a wholly owned subsidiary, replacing John Pasqualetto, who will continue as chairman and CEO. Gergasko has worked at the company since it was formed in 2003.

Saturna Capital

Bellingham-based Saturna Capital Corp., an investment advisor and manager, has named Jane Carten as president and CEO. Carten has worked at Saturna since 1997 and was executive VP. She succeeds Nicholas Kaiser in the post, who continues to serve as chairman, chief investment officer and primary portfolio manager for the Amana and Sextant equity funds. The firm also promoted Monem Salam to replace Kaiser as president of Saturna Brokerage Services, the fund distribution subsidiary of Saturna.

American United Life Insurance

American United Life Insurance Co. hired Kent Binning as a general agent in Seattle. Binning is the CEO of Team Financial Services and has 25 years of experience.

Agave Cocina & Tequilas Restaurant

Port Blakely Communities said Agave Cocina & Tequilas restaurant has opened in the Issaquah Highlands urban village. It is located at 1048 N.E. Park Drive. Agave is owned by Julian Ramos.

Port of Tacoma

The Port of Tacoma has promoted Jack Hedge to director of real estate and industrial development and Kevin Zinski to maintenance director. Hedge joined the port in May of 2006 as a real estate manager. Zinski joined the port in August of 2006 as assistant director of the department.

Avalara

Bainbridge Island-based Avalara, a provider of Web-based sales and use tax automation solutions, hired Anthony Zuanich as executive director of channel sales. Zuanich was executive vice president of sales for SpeedTax and has 18 years experience in software as a service technology sales and business development.
