Wells Fargo Private Bank

Wells Fargo Private Bank said Jave Ragan will join the Seattle team as a senior wealth planning strategist. Ragan joins Wells Fargo from Greene Wealth Management, where he served as a relationship manager with $450 million in assets under management.

Bellevue-based GMI, a provider of technology solutions for global market research, promoted Jon Puleston to VP of innovation, Mitra Asilzadeh to VP of international service operations and Betsy Yalcin to VP of human resources.

Schwabe, Willliamson & Wyatt

Regional law firm Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt said a new collaboration with Taylor Global Law Office that will provide legal services to Japanese companies investing in the United States. The collaborative venture, Taylor+Schwabe America Access, was developed to provide legal services to Japanese companies doing business in the United States.

State Department of Revenue

Russ Brubaker, national tax policy advisor for the Washington State Department of Revenue, is the 2011 winner of a national award for leadership in tax administration. The Wade Anderson Memorial Medal for Leadership is given by the Federation of Tax Administrators and the Multistate Tax Commission for fairness, simplicity and consistency.

Longshot Apparel

Seattle-based Longshot Apparel, which makes shirts for tall men, announced all its products are made in the U.S., rather than in China. Shirts are made in New Jersey and Massachusetts. Longshot Apparel was started by three former marketing executives from Microsoft, Adidas and Nike.

SLR

Environmental consultant SLR acquired Metago, a South African firm providing environmental consultant services to the mining industry throughout the world. Metago has 63 staff in five offices in South Africa and Australia. SLR's U.S. headquarters is in Bothell.

Seattle Genetics

Bothell-based Seattle Genetics hired Natasha Hernday as vice president, corporate development. Hernday has 10 years of experience in business and corporate development, and spent 16 years at Amgen. It also promoted Eric Sievers to vice president, clinical affairs. Sievers joined Seattle Genetics in 2006, and has played a leadership role in the company's brentuximab vedotin program.

Marshall and Associates

Elizabeth Marshall, founder of Marshall and Associates, hired Carl Arriola as president and chief operating officer. Arriola was CEO of Tates Rents, a multi-location rental company. Marshall is a software development company that streamlines resource management by applying GIS technology.
