Bracewell & Giuliani

Law firm Bracewell & Giuliani hired Robert Crowley as an associate. Crowley will work directly with partner Curt Roy Hineline, who joined Bracewell in April to lead the Seattle litigation practice. Both worked at Dorsey & Whitney. Crowley focuses on securities and complex commercial litigation, as well as litigation involving broker/dealers.

State Transportation Commission

Gov. Chris Gregoire appointed Anne Haley to the Washington State Transportation Commission, effective immediately. Haley chairs the board of directors for Brown & Haley in Tacoma and spent 20 years as library director in Walla Walla. The commission has seven governor-appointed members, and provides a public forum for development and assessment of transportation policy statewide.

Nintendo of America

Redmond-based Nintendo of America hired Scott Moffitt as executive vice president of sales and marketing. Moffitt will work from Nintendo's office in Redwood City, Calif. He worked at Henkel Consumer Goods, where he oversaw North American operations for brands such as Dial, Right Guard and Pure & Natural.

Bradley Smith, dean of the Huxley College of the Environment at Western Washington University, has been appointed to the North Pacific Research Board by U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gary Locke. The board supports research to build a clear understanding of the North Pacific, Bering Sea and Arctic Ocean ecosystems.

Optimum Energy

Optimum Energy hired Ben Erpelding as vice president of engineering and solution architecture. Erpelding has been the company's director of engineering since June of 2007. He has 14 years of experience in energy efficiency, chiller plant optimization and combined heat and power technologies.

Smart City Networks

The Washington State Convention Center in Seattle renewed its contract with Convention Communication Provisioners, a subsidiary of Smart City Networks, for two years. The company has provided event technology services, including telecommunications, data and Internet services to the center since 2001.

KeyBank

KeyBank named Sean Haugh manager of the new Bellevue branch at 3240 156th Ave S.E. in the Eastgate area, on the site of a former Shell station. It will open June 13, with a grand opening event July 16. Haugh joined KeyBank in 2009.

WSU University College

The University College at Washington State University said Mary Sanchez Lanier will lead pre-health sciences advising and STEM education. The change follows budget cuts and reorganizations in the College of Sciences and the College of Nursing. The team supports undergraduates who intend to work in health-related areas. Sanchez Lanier will continue as clinical associate professor in the School of Molecular Biosciences in the College of Veterinary Medicine.

Clark Nuber

Clark Nuber, a CPA and consulting firm in Bellevue, promoted Matt Dutton, Rebecca Homola and Sarah Wine to audit and assurance manager. The promotions are in response to the growing business needs of the audit and assurance department.
