EDI hired John Darby as vice president in the Seattle office to lead business development in the Northwest. He was a research analyst for the Washington House of Representatives and vice president of business development for the Thurston County Chamber. EDI is a health care IT consulting and design firm with offices in Atlanta, Denver, Phoenix and Salt Lake City.
HomeStreet Bank hired Jon Bruch as a senior loan officer in the downtown Seattle mortgage office at Two Union Square.
Chris Napier, a member of Foster Pepper's Real Estate Practice Group, has been selected for the 2012 Leadership Tomorrow program. Leadership Tomorrow prepares people to work for the benefit of the Puget Sound region. Each class is selected through a competitive process. About 75 people are chosen each year.

Panther Systems hired Phil Farmer as CEO. Farmer has 25 years of experience in the paper industry and was recently with Graphic Packaging International. Panther is a Vancouver provider of quality control and automation systems and production management software for the pulp, paper and tissue industry.
Berk hired Alex Krieg as a project associate. Krieg is a policy analyst with a background in community development and urban and regional planning. He worked for the Puget Sound Regional Council. Berk is a public policy consultancy working on strategy, analysis and communications.
The Northwest Development Officers Association selected Seattle Aquarium CEO Robert Davidson for the 2011 Professional Achievement Award. The award recognizes leadership, fundraising achievements and civic involvement.

The Washington Bankers Association hired Gretchen Kirkpatrick as website and database specialist. Kirkpatrick will support the membership database and website, and provide technical support to the Seattle office. She has 10 years of experience.
Seattle's MistralKitchen restaurant recently hired Taylor Thornhill as chef de cuisine. Thornhill will work with chef and owner William Belickis in writing brunch, lunch and dinner menus that incorporate a variety of classic and contemporary techniques and ingredients. He has previously worked at Rover's, The Harvest Vine and Sitka & Spruce.
Seattle Genetics promoted Eric Dobmeier to the new position of chief operating officer. Dobmeier has been with Seattle Genetics for more than nine years, serving most recently as chief business officer.
