Seattle-based HomeStreet Bank hired Paul Renstrom as senior vice president and enterprise risk management director. Renstrom previously was vice president and director of retail risk management for HSBC North America. HomeStreet Bank is state-chartered, FDIC-insured savings bank with offices in Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Hawaii.
The Washington School Directors' Association announced new officers for 2013: Debra Long as president, Chris Nieuwenhuis as vice president and Mari Taylor as president-elect. The rest of the board includes 12 representatives from director areas in the state. The association provides professional development, advocacy and policy services to school boards.
Seattle-based Global Seas hired William Franks as director of marketing and business development. Global Seas represents, manages, charters and operates vessels from the West coast to Alaska and Japan.

Seattle law firm Lane Powell hired Sarah MacLeod as attorney for the trusts and estates practice group. MacLeod previously worked at Miller Nash. Lane Powell is a multi-service law firm with offices in Washington, Oregon, Alaska and London.

Salish Lodge & Spa in Snoqualmie hired Connie Krause as director of sales. Krause has 30 years of hospitality experience and served as assistant director of catering and conference services for the Fairmont Olympic Hotel. The Salish Lodge & Spa overlooks the 268-foot Snoqualmie Falls.
Gig Harbor-based Threshold Group will open new offices in downtown Seattle and Portland. Threshold Group is a family-owned wealth advisory firm founded in 1999.

Kirkland-based Woodmark Hotel Yacht Club & Spa hired Claire Hansen as manager of bin on the lake. She is a first level sommelier and will be in charge of the wine list and inventory. Hansen has more than 17 years of experience in the restaurant industry and most recently served as general manager of Flying Fish. The Woodmark is located on Lake Washington in Kirkland.
City manager T.C. Broadnax announced the appointment of Kim Bedier as Tacoma's new public assembly facilities director effective Nov. 14. Bedier will oversee the Tacoma Dome. Broadnax has more than 20 years of venue management experience and is general manager of Comcast Arena in Everett.
Portland-based law firm Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt hired Troy Greenfield as partner in charge of the Seattle office. Greenfield brought his national commercial trial practice to the law firm in 2011 and focuses his practice on intellectual property, securities and bankruptcy-creditors' rights litigation. Greenfield was managing shareholder of the Seattle office of Bullivant Houser Bailey.
