The Seattle Convention and Visitors Bureau hired Troy Anderson as national account director. Anderson was national sales manager of Treasure Island Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, NV. The Seattle Convention and Visitors Bureau is a private, nonprofit marketing organization.

Tacoma-based Columbia Bank appointed Chris Merrywell as senior vice president and wealth management director. Merrywell was regional managing director of wealth markets for Union Bank in the Pacific Northwest.
Seattle-based Full Circle hired Michael J. Smith as chief executive officer. Smith worked as president and CEO of Avelle, the pioneer in online rental of consumer fashion goods. Co-founder Andrew Stout will step down as CEO and will remain chairman and chief farmer. Full Circle is an organic food delivery service.

Montana-based D.A. Davidson hired James Nelson as senior vice president and public finance banker in the fixed income capital markets group in Seattle. Nelson was senior municipal underwriter for Martin Nelson & Co. D.A. Davidson is an employee-owned brokerage firm.
Pierce County District Court judges elected Maggie Ross as presiding judge for the next two years. Ross has served on the district court bench for 15 years. Judge Pat O'Malley, who was presiding judge the last two years, will be assistant presiding judge for the 2013-14 term.
Seattle-based Foster Pepper hired Stephanie Weir as an associate in the land use and environmental group. Weir was an associate at Short Cressman & Burgess. Foster Pepper is a full-service, 120-attorney law firm with offices in Seattle and Spokane.

Pierce County Superior Court added three judges: Stan J. Rumbaugh, Jack F. Nevin and Jerry T. Costello. Rumbaugh serves on the board of governors for the Washington State Trial Lawyers Association. Nevin was appointed to the Pierce County District Court bench in 1997 and Costello has worked as Pierce County deputy prosecutor since 1989.
The board of trustees of the World Affairs Council of Seattle named Jennifer Teunon as interim president and chief executive officer. Teunon was senior consultant with Luma Consulting and has worked in the nonprofit sector for 20 years. She was acting executive director for the Medina Foundation.
The South Sound 911 Policy Board confirmed Lakewood city manager Andrew Neiditz as the first executive director of the new public safety agency. Neiditz has more than 25 years of senior executive experience in local government and has been Lakewood city manager since 2005.
