Kriegler

Frause, an independent communications firm, has hired Lauren Kriegler as an account supervisor. Kriegler has marketing and public relations expertise and also worked as a journalist. Everett-based Goldfinch Bros. hired Dan Bagger as business development manager in the residential division. Bagger worked at Reeb Millwork. Goldfinch Bros. is a full-service glass and glazing company serving commercial and residential customers in the Puget Sound region for more than 120 years.

Cairncross & Hempelmann

Seattle law firm Cairncross & Hempelmann named Stephen P. VanDerhoef, business litigation principal and former chair of the litigation group, as new managing partner; Scott Bell as new strategy partner; and Matt Hanna, real estate principal and former chair of the real estate group, as new finance partner. John Hempelmann will continue as chairman.

AAA Washington Board of Trustees

AAA Washington announced new officers to the board of trustees: Marilyn Batt Dunn, retired senior counsel of UW Medicine Advancement, as chairman; Robert Flowers as elected vice chairman; David Madeira as treasurer and Kirk Nelson as re-elected president and CEO.

Foster Pepper

Seattle-based law firm Foster Pepper promoted Michael Schechter to member in its Seattle office. Schechter practices municipal governance, open government, eminent domain, land use, the environment and is a lecturer at the University of Washington College of Built Environments.

State Attorney General's Office

Attorney general-elect Bob Ferguson announced Seattle attorney Noah Guzzo Purcell as solicitor general for the Washington State Attorney General's Office, replacing retiring solicitor general Maureen Hart. Purcell is an attorney in Perkins Coie's litigation and appellate practice.

Judicial Dispute Resolution has added retired Judge Bruce W. Hilyer as a panelist. Hilyer was a Superior Court judge and was named 2010 judge of the year by the King County Bar Association. San Francisco-based Wells Fargo hired Doug Weber as principal business banking relationship manager in Seattle. Weber was business client advisor at Union Bank.

Association of Washington Business

Ennis

The Association of Washington Business hired Mike Ennis as government affairs director for transportation issues. Ennis was director of the Washington Policy Center's Center for Transportation. The association is Washington's oldest and largest statewide business association.
