Seattle-based advertising firm GreenRubino hired Peggy Rodman as studio manager, Thomas Bobson as account coordinator and Kiri Garruto as media planner and buyer. Rodman was process design lead at NBBJ, Bobson was media contractor at Mixpo and Garruto was media buyer at Thrive.

U.S. Bank

U.S. Bank has named Chris Heman as market president for the state of Washington and head of commercial banking in the Puget Sound region effective March 1. Heman succeeds Ken Kirkpatrick, who is retiring. Heman has been with U.S. Bank for 20 years, and has led the retail branch network in the Seattle-Tacoma area since 2005.

Noble House Hotels & Resorts

Seattle-based Noble House Hotels & Resorts named Elizabeth Grillos as regional director of sales and marketing for West Coast properties in the new national sales office in Los Angeles. Grillos was director of sales and marketing at The Standard Hotel in California.

Lane Powell

Seattle law firm Lane Powell hired attorneys Frances Jagla, Alan Minsk, Jeffrey Reis and Gregory Wesner to its intellectual property practice group in the Seattle office. Jagla worked at Abbott Laboratories and Microsoft. Minsk worked at Openwave Systems and Intellectual Ventures, and Reis worked at Battelle.

HomeStreet Bank

Seattle-based HomeStreet Bank opened a new branch on Capitol Hill at 700 Broadway E. HomeStreet Bank is a state-chartered, federally insured savings bank in Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Hawaii.

Tacoma Art Museum

Tacoma Art Museum named Laura F. Fry as Haub Curator of Western American Art effective in April. Fry worked at the Buffalo Bill Historical Center in Cody, Wyo., as part of curatorial team. Peter H. Hassrick will remain as an advisor on upcoming Haub Collection projects. Hassrick is director of the Denver Art Museum.

GreenRubino

Seattle-based marketing firm GreenRubino said it has acquired brand strategists from Parker LePla to create a strategy practice within the agency. The entire staff from Parker LePla will be joining GreenRubino including Joe LePla and Lynn Parker as principal strategists, and Briana Marrah as strategy director.

The Northwest School

Jan Chiles, assistant head of The Northwest School's Finance & Operations department, was awarded the 2013 Ken White Distinguished Business Officer Award from the National Business Officers Association. It honors people for their commitment to their school and their profession. The Northwest School is a college preparatory school in Seattle.

Tacoma Economic Development

Tacoma Deputy Mayor Marty Campbell and city council member David Boe have been appointed to serve as chairman and vice chairman of the city's Economic Development Committee. Campbell has been a retail business owner and helped launch Go Local Tacoma. Boe owns BOE Architects. The committee reviews and evaluates concepts, initiatives and policies.
