Rochelle Robison has been named senior designer at Oxygen Learning in Seattle. Oxygen designs and delivers corporate training programs. Robison has worked as a learning consultant, instructional designer and program manager for more than 10 years. She has a master's in education, and has worked as a project manager, event planner and television director.
A provost from the University of South Dakota has been tapped to become the University of Idaho's new president. The Idaho State Board of Education announced Monday that Chuck Staben, provost and vice president of academic affairs at the University of South Dakota, was chosen out of the five finalists contending for the job. Saben will take over for Don Burnett, the dean of UI's College of Law, in March under a three-year contract paying $350,000 a year. Burnett took on the role of interim president after UI's previous president, Duane Nellis, left to become president of Texas Tech.
Garden City Group said Thomas Davis, Jr. has joined the company in the new position of vice president of West Coast operations. He will be based in Seattle. Davis will report directly to Jennifer Keough, GCG's executive vice president and chief operating officer. His background includes complex litigation, employment law, white collar crime and bankruptcy. He was corporate secretary and general counsel at Airbiquity, and also worked at the accounting firm of Moss Adams. GCG's services include legal administration for class action settlements.
Judy Endejan joins Garvey Schubert Barer and is expanding the firm's D.C.-based national communications practice with a West Coast presence. She spent 12 years with Graham & Dunn. GSB has clients in all facets of communications including electronic media, broadcast, web services, wireless devices and telecom. Endejan also worked as a professional journalist.

Philanthropy Northwest, a regional network of philanthropic grantmakers, named Jeff Clarke its new CEO, replacing Carol Lewis, who is retiring after eight years. Lewis will join The Giving Practice, Philanthropy NW's consulting division, as a consultant. Clarke is now a senior adviser with The Giving Practice. He was interim president and CEO of Council on Foundations, and vice president at Rasmuson Foundation in Alaska. He has also worked in management consulting, tech services and was a director of the U.S. Ski Team.



Lane Powell elected three attorneys in Seattle to shareholder, effective Jan. 1, 2014. Jacob M. Downs focuses on employment and business litigation and represents companies before regulatory agencies, state and federal courts, and private arbitration. Laura Marquez-Garrett focuses on complex litigation in consumer finance, securities, real estate, consumer protection, class action defense, white collar defense, and financial investigations and enforcement proceedings. Andrew J. Stevenson focuses on business immigration law including professional workers, employment eligibility compliance, investment-based visas, immigration audits, worker visas, family immigration and citizenship.

Aberdeen-based Bank of the Pacific, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Pacific Financial Corp., has opened a full-service branch at 651 S.E. Martin Ave. in Warrenton, Ore. It also has branches in Seaside and Astoria, Ore., and 16 branches in Grays Harbor, Pacific, Whatcom, Skagit and Wahkiakum counties in Washington. Loan production centers are in Clark, Skagit and Thurston counties. Pam Rush is the Warrenton branch manager.
Hacker Group, digital/direct marketing agency in Seattle, promoted Matt Witter from vice president account services to general manager. The company was founded in 1986.
WildSide Pets, a full-service pet store, has moved from Puyallup to Lakewood. It opened in 2004 and is run by Cindy Taylor and her daughter, Cari Aida. They are licensed to sell exotic animals such as sugar gliders, squirrels and hedgehogs, as well as common domestic pets. They also sell supplies and services.
