The Seattle law firm of Stoel Rives said Kara Morse won an award for Outstanding Achievement by a Young Lawyer-Private Practice. The award was presented by the University of Washington's Law Women's Caucus. Morse works in the corporate group, assisting health care clients.

Cloutier

The law firm Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt hired Priya Cloutier and Steven R. Blair to its intellectual property practice in Seattle. Cloutier focuses on domestic and international patents, trademarks and copyrights, and was with Lane Powell. Blair focuses on computer science, and worked with Hewlett-Packard and Microsoft as a software engineer and product manager. He was with Seed Intellectual Property Law Group.

Sound Transit

Pierce County Executive Pat McCarthy nominated Don S. Monroe to represent Pierce County on the citizen oversight panel that monitors Sound Transit. Monroe was Pierce Transit CEO from 1981 until 2006. He will serve a four-year term.

McKay Wealth Management

McKay Wealth Management in Tukwila made several promotions and additions. Associates Lindsey McKay and Nathan O'Connor have been promoted, and John Veitch and Kelly McKay have been hired. Lindsey McKay was promoted to partner and O'Connor is now director of investment operations. Veitch and Kelly McKay are client relations managers.

The law firm Dorsey & Whitney said Elizabeth Deckman has joined the Benefits & Compensation Group in Seattle as a partner. Her practice focuses on advising companies regarding employee benefits and ERISA. Deckman was a partner with Davis Wright Tremaine.

Children of the Nations

The Silverdale-based group Children of the Nations named Cheryl Cuthbertson international director of sustainable practices. She will oversee programs in Africa and the Caribbean focusing on water, agriculture, sanitation, renewable energy, technology and microfinance. COTN has offices in Tustin and San Diego, California, as well as Orlando, Boston and Seattle.

Provenance Hotels

Provenance Hotels hired Thomas Pavlik as general manager of Hotel Murano. He was director of operations at Le Meridien New Orleans and oversaw its $29 million renovation and repositioning, and also worked at Starwood. Portland-based Provenance focuses on urban boutique hotels including Hotel 1000, Roosevelt Hotel and Hotel Max in Seattle.

F5 Networks

F5 Networks named Kristen Roby Dimlow to lead global human resources as an executive vice president. She has 30 years of experience in global business and worked at Microsoft for 18 years as well as Walt Disney Studios.
