After 40 years with Seattle Colleges, Chancellor Jill Wakefield said she will retire next June. She was appointed chancellor in 2009 and will be the longest-serving chancellor in the district's history. A subcommittee of the board will lead the search for a new chancellor.
Cairncross & Hempelmann named Sophia Bell Lavin executive director. She has been director of human resources for 15 years, and now will direct all operations, including finance, information technology, facilities and business development. Lavin has has held leadership positions with the Association of Legal Administrators chapter and Seattle Area Legal Recruiting Administrators.

Chuck P. Rullman has joined Lane Powell as a shareholder in the Labor and Employment Practice Group. Rullman focuses his practice on litigation and dispute resolution, and has experience litigating labor and employment matters, commercial disputes, intellectual property issues, and claims from probate and non-probate proceedings.
KPLU/Jazz24 hired Parker Miles Blohm as digital media manager to increase its digital media content and provide technical support and maintenance. He worked at the Columbia Missourian as a photographer, reporter and multimedia editor, and also worked at NPR on Tiny Desk Concerts and other video projects.

Social impact leader Janet Levinger, Microsoft executive vice president Terry Myerson and growth investor Debra Somberg have joined the board of trustees for Seattle Foundation. Seattle Foundation's board has 21 trustees. It facilitated more than $100 million in grants in 2014 and manages more than $850 million in charitable assets.
F5 Networks hired John DiLullo to lead global sales and strategy in application security, service provider solutions and cloud applications. He will be based in F5's Seattle headquarters. He has over 25 years of experience in global business, sales, market and channel development, operations, and team management at Aruba Networks, Avaya Communications and Cisco Systems.

Ruth S. Lee Johnson has joined Lane Powell as an attorney in the Litigation Practice Group. Johnson focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation, and previously was an associate for Gardere Wynne Sewell LLP.
Lee & Hayes, an intellectual property law firm, hired chemical and life sciences patent attorney Sally P. Teng, Ph.D., as part of its multi-office chemical and life sciences industry group. Teng is based in the Washington D.C.-metro office and has represented chemical, biotech and pharmaceutical companies, research institutions, universities and nonprofits. The 156-person firm has offices in Atlanta, Austin, Portland, Seattle, Spokane and Rochester, N.Y.
