Shelf Awareness

Baldacci

Shelf Awareness, the Seattle-based e-newsletter company that produces Shelf Awareness Pro and Shelf Awareness for Readers, hired Matt Baldacci as director of business development. He was vice president of trade marketing at Scholastic Inc. and also worked at St. Martin's Press. Baldacci will be based on the East Coast.

Un-Cruise Adventures

Edwards

Seattle-based Un-Cruise Adventures hired Richard G. Edwards as vice president of sales and marketing, replacing Tim Jacox who is now president and COO. Edwards has worked at Wildland Adventures, Trusted Adventures, G (GAP) Adventures and Tartan Destinations. Un-Cruise Adventures has a fleet of yachts and small ships.

REI

REI promoted Craig Rowley to vice president of marketing and hired Jed Paulson as vice president of digital retail. Rowley will oversee advertising, local marketing, Internet marketing, digital communications/content strategy, analytics and social media. Paulson was head of marketing and e-commerce for Free People, and will lead digital strategies.

Boungjaktha-Stremme

The Trade Development Alliance of Greater Seattle named Neepaporn “A” Boungjaktha-Stremme vice president and interim president. She was program director at the National Center for Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation, and also worked at TDA. TDA has collaborated with Seattle Metro Chamber to position Seattle as a global city.

Washington State Transit Association

Leighton

Washington State Transit Association named Justin D. Leighton executive director. He has degrees from Washington State University and Evergreen State College, and began working at Pierce Transit in 2011 as government relations officer. WSTA represents over 31 public transit agencies. Outgoing Executive Director Geri Beardsley has a new job at Community Transit in Snohomish County.

REI

REI named Tracie Winbigler chief financial officer. She was chief operations officer at National Geographic Society, and has more than 25 years of experience including NBC Network and General Electric. REI said this appointment will let Eric Artz, REI's executive vice president and chief operating officer, focus on his role as COO.

Seattle-based business automation company Automic said John Purrier has joined as chief technology officer. Purrier has more than 20 years of IT experience, and was most recently CTO of CenturyLink Innovation Labs focusing on new and emerging cloud technologies, including multi-cloud interoperability and DevOps. He was a founder of OpenStack and also worked at Rackspace Cloud and Microsoft.

D.A. Davidson & Co.

D.A. Davidson & Co. investment firm named James Ragan director of Individual Investor Group Research in Seattle. The group helps investors, families, businesses and nonprofit clients. Ragan has been with the research team since 2013, when D.A. Davidson merged with Crowell, Weedon & Co.
