Pete Fisher was appointed Fife's police chief after a community-led hiring process. Fisher has worked for Metropolitan Parks District in Tacoma and Bremerton Police Department, and has served as an adjunct professor at Central Washington University.

Stokes Lawrence said Lance Pelletier has joined the litigation practice. He clerked for Justice Charlie Wiggins of the Washington State Supreme Court and served as an officer in the U.S. Army. The firm has offices in Seattle and Yakima, representing businesses, families and individuals.

Metro Parks Tacoma

Metro Parks Tacoma's executive director, Jack C. Wilson, will retire in September after 16 years leading Metro Parks Tacoma. The community passed bond measures in 2005 and 2014 for over $280 million for infrastructure and capital improvements. The 2014 bond will help replace North Pacific Aquarium, complete a trail and pedestrian overpass connecting Point Defiance to Ruston Way, and develop the Environmental Learning Center at the zoo.

Cloutier Global Intellectual Property, a Seattle-based law firm specializing in patents, trademarks and copyrights, said Reuben J. Ortega has joined the firm as a partner. Ortega is a business attorney who focuses on corporate and transactional matters.

Washington State Hospital Association

Scott Bond, who has been president and CEO of Washington State Hospital Association since 2011, will retire in January of 2017. The WSHA board has selected national firm Korn Ferry to find a new CEO.
