Puget Sound Bank

Bellevue-based Puget Sound Bank hired Kimberly Carhee as vice president, loan operations manager to replace Bruce Nalder, who is retiring after 11 years managing the loan service team. Nalder was one of the first employees of Puget Sound Bank. Carhee has spent her career in loan operations and community banking.

Pierce County Superior Court

Judge Brian Tollefson, Pierce County Superior Court's most senior judge will retire May 31. Tollefson was elected to Superior Court in 1988 and has been active in the Washington State Superior Court Judges Association.

First Sound Bank

First Sound Bank said Jon C. Shelton has been promoted from executive vice president and chief credit officer to president and chief operating officer. Shelton has over 46 years in community banking and worked at Washington Trust Bank in Spokane as chief lending officer, and manager of the Commercial Banking Division before going to Frontier Bank in Everett where he managed the Western Region.

Russell Investments

Russell Investments has formed a new team within its investment division: Global Client Strategy & Research, which is charged with integrating asset allocation expertise across regions and businesses. Kevin Turner, a 21-year veteran of Russell Investments, will lead the new team.

O'Hare

Central Washington University named Sharon O'Hare vice president of enrollment management. O'Hare is associate vice president for enrollment management and student success at University of Montana. She will focus on retention and recruitment activities, financial aid policy and administration, and enrollment programming, and oversee the Office of Admissions, and the departments of Student Financial Services and Enrollment Communications. Last fall CWU experienced a 21 percent increase in freshmen enrollment. She also worked for Missoula Housing Authority and as a city planner.

Seattle-based Miller Nash Graham & Dunn hired four attorneys in Seattle: Alyson Palmer, Connor O'Brien, Drew Duggan and Amalia Walton. Palmer is an associate on the employment law and labor relations team, and was an associate at Stoel Rives. O'Brien and Duggan are litigation associates, and Walton joins as counsel working on environmental and land use issues. O'Brien was a judge advocate in the Marine Corps, and senior defense counsel in Afghanistan. Duggan was a clerk at the Pentagon and King County Prosecutor's Office. Walton has worked with a variety of regulatory agencies.

HomeStreet Bank

HomeStreet Bank said it has an agreement to acquire two branches in Lake Oswego, Oregon, from The Bank of Oswego later this year. This will give HomeStreet five retail branches in the Portland metro area.
