Public Disclosure Commission

Retired judges Anne Levinson and John Bridges of were elected chair and vice-chair of the Public Disclosure Commission, effective July 1. Levinson was appointed to the commission in 2014 and has been vice chair since July 2015. Bridges was appointed to the commission in January 2015. The commission provides public access to information about financing of political campaigns, lobbyist expenditures, and the financial affairs of public officials and candidates.

Green River College

Dr. Deborah Casey appointed to interim vice president of instruction at Green River College, replacing Dr. Derek Brandes, who will become president of Walla Walla Community College. Green River plans to recruit for the VP of instruction position over the next year. Casey is VP of student affairs at Green River College.

Stoel Rives

Stoel Rives said Susan Fine has joined the Health Care Law Group as an of counsel attorney in Seattle. She has nearly a decade of experience as an in-house counsel at Premera Blue Cross. The business law firm has nearly 400 attorneys in 11 offices in seven states and the District of Columbia.

Washington Appleseed has a new executive director: Angeline Thomas. She was with the Access to Justice Institute at Seattle University School of Law and replaces Katie Mosehauer. Washington Appleseed is part of a national network that focuses on social and economic problems through public policy initiatives, challenging laws, and helping people understand and exercise their rights.

Stokes Lawrence said S. Jill Fairchild has joined the firm's estate planning practice after practicing with her own firm. She advises clients on estate, trust and business succession planning.

U.S. Trust hired four new senior vice presidents in Seattle and Bellevue. Abraham Dairi has over 10 years of experience in finance, and was with Union Bank & HSBC. Jean-Pierre “JP” Green has over 16 years of experience in private wealth management in the Pacific Northwest and was an infantry officer in the U.S. Army. Jason Lynch was as a senior private banker with Morgan Stanley Private Bank. Thomas Witte worked for 33 years at Bank of America.

K&L Gates

The Seattle office of K&L Gates LLP hired Christopher J. (CJ) Voss as a partner in the corporate/M&A practice. Voss was with Stoel Rives LLP, where he practiced for more than 20 years. He worked at the U.S. Department of Commerce in Washington, D.C., and at Linklaters in Brussels.

Perkins Coie named Kristine R. Wilson managing partner of the Bellevue office, succeeding Mark Quehrn, who served in the role since 2003. The Bellevue office opened in 1983. Her practice focuses on land use, environmental, real estate and energy law.

Washington State University

The Carson College of Business at Washington State University hired Jessica Cassleman as assistant dean of international programs. Cassleman was assistant dean in the WSU Honors College for the last 16 years and has worked closely with international programs for over 20 years.
