The Museum of Flight promoted Vice President and CFO Matthew B. Hayes to a newly created job: executive vice president. Hayes started at MOF in 2000 as a volunteer. He will handle day-to-day operations. Hayes has worked at Deloitte and Touche, and Alliance for Education, and joined MOF as an employee in 2005.
Spoken Communications, a Seattle firm focused on customer engagement and contact center services, named Jan Wiersma chief cloud officer. Wiersma has 15 years of experience, and was vice president of global cloud services at SDL. Spoken uses AI to help contact centers analyze and respond to customer conversations.

Lane Powell attorneys David W. Howenstine, Kristin Beneski and Ruth S. Lee Johnson have been appointed to the Leadership Council for Legal Diversity Fellows and Pathfinders program. Howenstine is a member of the 2017 class of Fellows, and Beneski and Johnson are members of the 2017 class of Pathfinders. The LCLD works to increase diversity in the legal profession.
Phil Weiler, a strategic communications expert with more than 26 years of experience, has been named vice president for marketing and communication at Washington State University. He has worked in higher education, the corporate sector and government, and has directed marketing and brand management at the University of Illinois at Chicago, and worked in communications for the University of Oregon. John Gardner, who has been vice president for both the WSU Foundation and University Communications, will now be vice president and CEO of the foundation.

Beth G. Joffe joined Lane Powell as counsel to the firm's Labor and Employment Practice Group. She has been an employment litigator and legal advisor since 1998. Joffe worked at Stokes Lawrence in Seattle and Seyfarth Shaw LLP in Chicago.
Bellevue-based Puget Sound Bank said Chris Casey joined the company as senior vice president, relationship manager. He has over 30 years of financial services experience.

Utrip, a free Seattle-based travel-planning platform that combines artificial intelligence with human experience, named Chris Manderino chief operating officer. Manderino has worked at Expedia, Microsoft, Dwellable, Porch and Peach Inc. Gilad Berenstein is the founder and CEO. It uses predictive technology and a travel database curated by locals. Utrip's algorithm sorts through sites, activities, and restaurants to create personalized itineraries.
