Seattle Chocolate Co. has opened a new store on Concourse C at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, selling locally crafted jcoco and Seattle Chocolate products. Seattle Chocolate started in 1992, and is owned and led by CEO Jean Thompson.
Ormuco, provider of intelligent cloud platforms for enterprises and service providers with offices in Montreal and Seattle, is expanding its engineering and product teams in Seattle for its Ormuco Stack product, which is powered by artificial intelligence and machine learning. Devananda van der Veen and Sriram Subramanian are the Seattle engineering team. The Seattle office also hired Erin Paiso as marketing director.

David Overcash, a technology and consulting industry veteran, is joining Revel Consulting in Seattle as its first chief commercial officer. Overcash will advance technology offerings and partnership strategy. He co-founded Brightlight Consulting, a Big Data analytics firm, and also worked at Systech Solutions and Infogain.
The Public Utility Board selected former Tacoma Water Superintendent Linda McCrea as interim utilities director until a permanent director is hired. The Tacoma City Council will vote on her appointment Nov. 28. McCrea, who retired April 1, would be Tacoma Public Utilities' first female director. She will fill a role vacated by Bill Gaines, who will retire Nov. 30. Mycoff, Fry & Prouse will conduct the search for a permanent director.

Perkins Coie said Robert L. Mahon has been named firmwide chair of the Tax, Benefits & Compensation practice. He is a partner in the Seattle office, past president of the Tax Section of the Washington State Bar Association, and an adjunct professor at the University of Washington School of Law.
Cynthia Ann Brooks has joined the Washington Small Business Development Center for Skagit, Island and San Juan counties, providing no-cost, confidential advising to entrepreneurs and small business owners. SBDC's statewide network is hosted by Washington State University, and Brooks' office is in Mount Vernon.

The 5th Avenue Theatre said David Armstrong, executive producer and artistic director, will step down at the end of the 2017/18 season after 18 years, and become artistic director emeritus, working as a consultant, advisor and frequent director at the theater. Managing Director Bernadine C. Griffin and Producing Artistic Director Bill Berry will now lead the 5th Avenue.
Seattle City Light named Irina Rasputnis executive director of the Lighting Design Lab. Rasputnis is certified by the National Council on Qualifications for the Lighting Professions, and was with DesignLights Consortium in Medford, Mass. Lighting Design Lab is a commercial and industrial lighting validation and education service of SCL that works with contractors, utilities, designers and architects.
