Cindy Elkins is the new chief information officer at Seattle biopharmaceutical company Juno Therapeutics. Elkins previously was vice president of information technology for the Americas at Genentech, and vice president and general manager at Ariba, a software and information technology services firm.
Bryan Lutz will lead Washington Federal's Northern Washington Region as senior vice president and regional president. Lutz, a division manager at the bank, is taking over for Tom Kenney, who is retiring Feb. 2. Prior to joining the bank in 2008, Lutz held mortgage leadership positions with several financial institutions in the Northwest and Midwest. The bank also announced Bob Peters, executive vice president and group manager of commercial banking, will lead the commercial banking teams in Bellingham. He has more than 30 years of commercial banking experience.
Junior Achievement of Washington named Natalie Vega O'Neil president. O'Neil previously was an executive with Save the Children and also worked at YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago, Camino Nuevo Charter Academy, Thrive Washington and Make-A-Wish.

Mark Putnam, director of All Home, will be leaving the nonprofit later this month to become executive director of Accelerator YMCA. Putnam lead All Home for four years and was a senior leader at Building Changes for 16 years prior. Kira Zylstra, current assistant director, will become acting director at All Home. Zylstra worked at Solid Ground prior to joining All Home.
Casey Sixkiller was named chief operating officer at King County. Sixkiller is founder and managing partner of his own public affairs firm in Washington, D.C.; and previously was on Sen. Patty Murray's legislative staff, and handled transportation issues during the early years of Sound Transit for former Rep. Jim McDermott.

Seven attorneys from Lane Powell's Seattle and Portland offices have been elected shareholders. The Seattle office includes David W. Howenstine, Daniel A. Kittle and Jessica N. Walder. New shareholders in Portland are Jeff Duncan Brecht, Garrett W. Crawshaw, Lisa D. Poplawski and Skyler M. Tanner.
Joseph Harrington was named interim U.S. Attorney for Eastern Washington. Harrington became acting U.S. Attorney in March, when then-U.S. Attorney Mike Ormsby was asked to resign. Harrington has been a federal prosecutor since 1990.

The Seattle office of Ogletree Deakins hired Laurence Shapero as a shareholder. Shapero has practiced employment law locally for more than 15 years, most recently with Fox Rothschild. Ogletree Deakins is a large labor and employment law firm representing management.
Bjorn Stehr joined Union Bank in Seattle as a director and private wealth advisor. Stehr is working in The Private Bank, an arm of the company that consults with high-net-worth individuals, nonprofits, business owners and executives. He has over 15 years of financial services experience, and has held senior positions at U.S. Trust and J.F. Shea Inc. in Seattle.
