Keough

Shipping and logistics startup Flexport opened an office in downtown Seattle. The new location is led by Kevin Keough, general manager, and Anders Schulze, vice president and general manager of Northwest. Keough started his career in operations with Hanjin and APL, moving into terminal operations at Ports America and then into inventory management at Gap. He joined Flexport as an operations manager. Schulze spent 10 years at Maersk in operations and revenue roles before joining Flexport at its San Francisco headquarters.

Mikkilineni focuses on privacy, technology and intellectual property law; and is a registered patent attorney. Nguyen focuses on corporate business and real estate finance transactions.

Seattle-based Ballard Industrial restructured its executive leadership: owners Greg Hartje and Doug Freyberg are now co-CEOs, and Steve Berger was promoted to president and COO. Berger was business development manager and has been with the company for 11 years. The three leaders will form an executive committee to craft a strategic vision for the 67-year-old distributor and service provider to regional industrial, construction, marine, energy and manufacturing customers.

Central Washington University

Gladys T. Gillis, CEO and co-owner of Starline Luxury Coaches, is the newest board trustee of Central Washington University. Gillis is a CWU alumna who has served on the CWU Foundation board for the past three years. Her new role will last six years.

Anthony's Restaurants

Anthony's Restaurants this week held its 33rd annual Epicurean Affair benefit dinner and charity auction at its Everett HomePort restaurant. The event raised over $173,000 for cancer services at Providence Regional Cancer Partnership.

Turner

Seattle-based Point B appointed Brian Turner as president of consulting. Turner had been interim president of consulting. Before that, he was Point B's national practice director for project leadership services, chief risk officer and chief service delivery officer. Point B is a management consulting, digital studio, venture investment and real estate development firm.

Carney Badley Spellman

Loftin

G. Matthew Loftin joined Carney Badley Spellman in Seattle as a principal attorney. Loftin's practice focuses on federal and state taxation, trusts, estates and probate.

RealWear

Patrick Neise joined Vancouver-based RealWear as chief information security officer. Neise was a cybersecurity professional at Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory. He also helped develop U.S. Cyber Command's cyber protection teams. RealWear makes wearable computing devices for light and heavy industry that are voice-driven and head-mounted.

One Love Foundation

One Love Foundation appointed Michele Heffron as executive director of the greater Seattle area. Heffron was director of development for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Bellevue. Her 30-year career includes working for The Seattle Times and the Count On Me Family Foundation. Bronxville, N.Y.-based One Love was founded in honor of Yeardley Love, a college student who was killed by her ex-boyfriend.
