John J. Corkrean and Joe W. Laymon joined the board of Clearwater Paper in Spokane. Corkrean is executive vice president and CFO for H.B. Fuller, a maker of adhesives, sealants and chemical products. Before Laymon retired in 2017, he was vice president of human resources and corporate services at Chevron. Clearwater supplies private-label tissue to major retailers and wholesale distributors, and produces bleached paperboard.
Dr. Colleen Delaney, Dr. Christopher Henney, Ron Howell and Dr. Steven Reed were inducted into the Washington Life Science Hall of Fame, which recognizes leaders who have made significant contributions to the life sciences. Delaney is founder, chief scientific officer and executive vice president of R&D at Nohla Therapeutics. Henney is the retired co-founder of Immunex, Icos and Dendreon. Howell has been CEO of Washington Research Foundation for nearly 30 years. Reed is founder of the Infectious Disease Research Institute and co-founder of Corixa and Immune Design.

Anna Griffin joined Bellevue-based Smartsheet as chief marketing officer. Griffin has over two decades of marketing experience, including stints as senior vice president of corporate marketing at CA Technologies and vice president of global marketing at Juniper Networks. Smartsheet is a cloud-based platform for work execution.

In Seattle, Precept Wine promoted Courtney Bradbury to director of strategic accounts. Bradbury has 12 years of supplier logistics and sales experience. She joined Precept in 2007 as an order processing coordinator and was promoted in 2010 to order logistics manager. In 2016, she became director of sales logistics.
Tereza Marks is the new executive director at Pawsitive Alliance in Kenmore. Marks has been involved in animal welfare for over 20 years, most recently as executive director of Eastside Audubon Society.

Seattle-based Adaptive Biotechnologies appointed Dr. Lance Baldo as chief medical officer. Baldo has 20 years of experience in technology and therapeutics, and was senior vice president and head of U.S. Medical Affairs at Genentech. Adaptive Biotechnologies focuses on immune-driven medicine.
Attorney Stephen M. Graham joined the board of Washington Federal. Graham is managing partner of Fenwick & West's Seattle office. He has been practicing law for 42 years. Washington Federal operates 235 bank branches in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Utah, Nevada, Arizona, Texas and New Mexico.
Sand Point Elementary School in Seattle won a $20,000 education grant from Symetra and the Seattle Seahawks called the Symetra Heroes in the Classroom MVP Award. The grant will fund a program called Hear Our Voices, which provides a platform for the school's fourth- and fifth-graders to share stories of diversity by recording and producing oral histories in a digital library.
