Cox

The Estate Planning Council of Seattle appointed a slate of new officers for 2021-2022, with Jolene Cox of Deloitte Tax, as president. Joining Cox is immediate past president Steven Schindler, Perkins Coie; president-elect J. Kim Cacace, BNY Mellon Wealth Management; treasurer Dan Halos, The Bailey Group; and secretary Teresa Byers, Ogden Murphy Wallace. The executive committee includes Anna Cashman, KHBB Law; Allison Kollack, King & Oliason; Chris Downing, Greene Wealth Management; and Debra Smiley, Laird Norton Wealth Management. The Estate Planning Council of Seattle, originally founded in the early 1940s, is comprised of King County estate planning lawyers, certified public accountants, trust officers, insurance agents and financial planners. The council promotes the highest quality estate planning services in the Pacific Northwest by developing and improving the capabilities of its members, fostering cooperation among professionals, and by educating the public about estate planning matters.

Avalara

Avalara, a provider of tax compliance automation software for businesses of all sizes, appointed global technology leader and innovator Srinivas Tallapragada and retired Lt. Gen. Bruce Crawford to its board of directors. Tallapragada is president and chief engineering officer of Salesforce, where he leads a global team responsible for building and managing the company's products and platform. Prior to Salesforce, he held multiple leadership roles at Oracle and SAP, where he led enterprise software development and was responsible for the integration of numerous acquisitions. Crawford is senior vice president for strategic development, growth and sales at Jacobs, a technology-enabled solutions provider. Prior to joining Jacobs, Crawford served in the Army for 34 years, including his final position as the army's chief information officer. Headquartered in Seattle, Avalara has offices across the U.S. and around the world.

PRR

PRR, an integrated communications agency, announced Lynnette Bradbury is the new chief financial officer. Bradbury has more than 20 years of experience in professional services firms, including seven years of experience working for Seattle-based EnviroIssues. She has led all aspects of finance and accounting, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, analysis, and contract management and compliance. Bradbury is an advisor to PRR's board of directors and a member of PRR's management team. Established in 1981, PRR is a certified women-owned business specializing in the transportation, health care and environmental sectors. PRR is a bicoastal agency with offices in Seattle; Washington, D.C.; Norfolk, Virginia; and Baltimore.

ZoomInfo has released the ZoomInfo Recruiter platform. ZoomInfo Recruiter is built specifically for recruiting teams to identify, target, and connect with top talent so they can fill open requisitions with the right individuals quickly and efficiently. Through the platform, staffing agencies, executive recruiters, corporate recruiters, and sourcers can uncover data such as work history, educational background, and department organizational charts to better understand candidates' managerial, functional, and technical experience. Recruiters can apply preset filters in order to focus on specific initiatives, including diversity, equity, and inclusion. Headquartered in Vancouver, ZoomInfo is a go-to-market intelligence solution for more than 20,000 companies worldwide.

LeoStella

LeoStella, a specialized satellite constellation design and manufacturing company, delivered its first satellite to Loft Orbital Solutions. LeoStella delivered the “Yet Another Mission-3” (YAM-3) satellite to Cape Canaveral for an upcoming SpaceX launch. The YAM-3 satellite will host a variety of payloads, including a demonstration for the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency's Blackjack program and an Internet of Things payload for Eutelsat. The satellite is part of a broader contract to build and integrate satellite buses for several upcoming Loft Orbital missions. Based in Tukwila, LeoStella is a joint venture between Thales Alenia Space and BlackSky. Loft Orbital deploys and operates space infrastructure, providing access to orbit for customer missions.

Remote Medical International

Seattle-based Remote Medical International, a provider of workplace health and safety services for Fortune 100 corporations and government services prime contractors, announced it received the Vanguard Award for medium companies from the International Stability Operations Association. The award recognizes businesses that go above and beyond in the government contracting community and exemplify the association's ideals, including accountability, transparency, and ethics. The award recognized RMI for providing health and safety support to companies operating in remote locations worldwide. RMI won the Vanguard Award for small companies in 2019. It is the fourth ISOA award RMI has received. The ISOA is the only worldwide association representing the stability sector exclusively. The nonprofit association serves as the primary point of strategic engagement for the government and private sector in support of global stability operations. Remote Medical International protects the health and wellbeing of workers in diverse job sites, from remote pipeline installations to offshore wind and maritime operations.

Accelerator Life Science Partners

Accelerator Life Science Partners (ALSP), an early-stage life science accelerator and investment firm, has promoted Alice Chen, Ph.D., to executive vice president and added Ronald Howell as senior advisor. Chen has more than 15 years of research, drug development, and executive management experience. She joined ALSP as a principal in 2013 to support ALSP portfolio company operations and to provide executive oversight over a broad range of preclinical development activities across the ALSP portfolio. Howell most recently served as president and CEO of Washington Research Foundation (WRF), where he led the expansion of WRF from primarily an intellectual property management organization into one of the largest private foundations in the state of Washington. ALSP, headquartered in Seattle, is a minority-owned firm that seeks to promote diversity and inclusion in the health care industry.

AWS BugBust

Amazon Web Services announced the AWS BugBust Challenge, a global competition for developers to collectively eliminate 1 million software bugs. Developers from around the world can join the challenge by creating an AWS BugBust event for their organization in the Amazon CodeGuru console—and compete for prizes by identifying and fixing bugs in their applications. By fixing bugs and achieving cost savings for their organizations, developers climb the AWS BugBust leaderboard to receive achievement badges, prizes, and a chance for an expense-paid trip to attend AWS Invent 2021 in Las Vegas. T-Mobile

T-Mobile US announced that Letitia “Tish” Long has been appointed to its board of directors. Long has also been appointed to the board's nominating and corporate governance committee and will serve as the company's national security director as part of national security commitments connected to its merger with Sprint. Long has nearly 40 years of experience in security and intelligence as well as organizational leadership, business functions and global operations. She served as the fifth director of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency and was the first woman to lead a major U.S. intelligence agency. She previously served as the deputy director of Naval Intelligence, the first deputy undersecretary of Defense for Intelligence (Policy, Requirements and Resources), the first chief information officer, and later, deputy director of the Defense Intelligence Agency.
