Seattle advertising company CF2GS, specialized in integrated, response-driven marketing communications, has hired David Hinton as a database information manager. Previously, Hinton was a database marketing analyst at AT&T Wireless Services in Kirkland.
Northwest Research Group Inc., a market research firm located in Bellevue, has hired Jane Alston as research assistant. Prior to joining the team at Northwest Research Group, Alston was a consumer research assistant at MarketWise Inc., in Charlotte, N. C.
Mark H. Dawson, a 10-year portfolio management veteran, has joined investment advisory firm Rainier Investment Management Inc. as senior portfolio manager. Dawson came to Rainier Investment Management Inc. after four years with Badgley, Phelps & Bell Inc. where he served as director of equity research.
Jon W. Gacek, leading services to high technology companies at the Seattle office of Price Waterhouse LLP, has been admitted into the partnership of Price Waterhouse LLP, a worldwide network helping businesses to solve problems. A certified public accountant, Gacek began his career with Price Waterhouse in 1985.

Norman Bolotin, president of Laing Communications Inc., a Redmond-based publishing services company, has been named as one of three directors for the Business of Publishing, a new graduate publishing course which is part of the University of Chicago publishing program. Bolotin was affiliated for six years with the Radcliffe Publishing Course.
Seattle-headquartered Continental Savings Bank has added Juel Erickson as vice president of information systems, and J. Craige Naylor as vice president of residential loan production. Erickson comes from the Puget Sound Blood Center where she was manager of information systems. Naylor previously worked as vice president and area production manager for First Interstate Bank of Washington.
Brie & Bordeaux, a cheese and wine merchant, will open a retail store and cafe on April 1 offering bistro-style cuisine in the Green Lake neighborhood, at Kirkwood and 56th street. Collaborating with owner Alison Leber will be chef Scott Samuel who has worked for Gerard's Relais de Lyon Restaurant, and chef Susan Carlisle who was an alumna of Un, Deux, Trois.
Longview Fibre Co. has promoted Jerry M. Landau to marketing manager. For the past 18 years, Landau has been a paper-sales representative in the Pacific Northwest. He started his career with the company in 1965 as a technical engineer at the Longview pulp and paper mill.
Greenwood Heating & Air Conditioning, which has occupied the same street corner in Seattle's Greenwood neighborhood for over 75 years, plans to relocate most of its personnel to a newly opened Kirkland facility due to an increase in business. The company says it will retain a small sales office at the 74th and Greenwood Avenue location.
Westin Hotels & Resorts and Starbucks Coffee Co. have announced an agreement which makes the specialty coffee manufacturer the exclusive coffee supplier for Westin's 35 owned and managed properties in the United States and Canada. The agreement will be fully implemented by March 31.
