Doug Collins has been named the director of sales and marketing at the Sheraton Seattle Hotel & Towers.
Linda Bailey has been promoted to vice president, operations, for the Oregon Washington California Pear Bureau. The new position is an element of restructuring plans underway within the bureau.
CleanCare Corp. has formed the Industrial Group, which will operate out of corporate headquarters in Federal Way, with additional resources located at the company's Vancouver/Portland branch. CleanCare is a full service environmental waste management firm with branch offices in Tacoma, Everett. Spokane, and Vancouver and a treatment facility located in the Port of Tacoma. The company's initial focus was on the automotive industry concentrating on recycling waste oils and antifreeze, but it has steadily expanded to include other waste streams as well. The Industrial Group will focus on market sectors outside of the automotive industry.
McCann-Erickson Seattle has made the following promotions and additions to its creative and account services departments: Eric Prock has been promoted to account supervisor. He will manage The Bon Marche and Mariners accounts, as well as head up Internet and new media projects. Wendy Ostenson has been promoted to account coordinator. Janay Blazejewski joins McCann as art director; Beth Atkins, production assistant; Bobby Pearce, senior copywriter; and Adam Kuhr, copywriter. McCann's media planning and local broadcast departments has also made some additions and promotions. Michelle Birds, Kathi Mydland and Rob Mainar have all been promoted to assistant broadcast buyer. Kims Chochon has been hired as a media supervisor; DJ Clark, media planner; Noel Estrada, assistant broadcast buyer; and Tiffany Kirk, local broadcast coordinator.
Westin Hotels & Resorts has opened its fifth Westin Demeure property in Paris in the newly renovated Hotel Astor. The Hotel Astor is the eighth upscale Westin Demeure hotel in Europe resulting from the partnership formed between Demeure Hotels and Westin.

Delphi Computers & Peripherals have moved their offices and dispatch center from Green Lake to 6319 Roosevelt Way NE, Seattle. Delphi is the creator of The Delphi Service Network, a group of service centers across the state who perform authorized technical service on systems and high end network peripherals that Delphi sells to government, education, and selected corporate markets.
K. Nous Martin and Scarlet Tang have joined the staff at Pacific Rim Resources, Inc. (PRR). Martin has been hired as the graphic design and marketing coordinator. Tang has been appointed project coordinator. PRR, located in Seattle, is a public affairs and communications firm specializing in transportation and environmental issues.
WRQ has appointed Betsy Hall as channel sales manager for North America. She will be responsible for continuing to develop WRQ's channel sales program, as well as managing the sales teams that work with value-added resellers (VARs), distributors, and corporate resellers. Headquarted in Seattle, WRQ makes PC software that connects personal computer users to enterprise computers and information networks. The company also distributes Reflection products through a worldwide distribution network.
AA Party Rentals , a Seattle based party and event company, has moved its corporate headquarters. The new offices are located at 6404 216th St. SW, Mountlake Terrace.
Southwest Mortuary, located in Seattle, has formed a new management team. Myron Paul has been hired as manager; Elizabeth Minnis as business manager; and Cecil Smith as assistant manager.
Victor Ericson, president of the Economic Development Council of Seattle & King County, has announced his resignation, effective August 23, 1996, to pursue interests outside the organization. The Economic Development Council of Seattle & King County is a public/private non-profit coalition whose 38-member board consists of business, government, labor, education and environmental leaders.
Muir Public Relations has been hired by the Wallingford Chamber of Commerce and by a group of small businesses in Pioneer Square to help publicize and develop their images. Jeanne Muir was hired two years ago by the Fremont Chamber of Commerce and has successfully promoted that area. Based in Seattle, Muir Public Relations specializes in promoting communities, small businesses and businesses associated with communities.
