Sorrento Hotel

Joe Figone has been name director of sales and marketing at Seattle's historic Sorrento Hotel. This follows successful careers in the same position at several San Francisco Kimpton Group hotels, and most recently at the Salish Lodge at Snoqualmie Falls, Washington.

McKinley Capital Management, Inc.

McKinley Capital Management, Inc. has hired Jerry Allen as chief financial officer. Allen will be responsible for finances and public relations. McKinley Capital Management, Inc., is an Anchorage-based registered investment advisory firm specializing in growth portfolios. The company targets stocks that typically exceed Wall Street earnings estimates.

Clover Park Technical College

Harley Moberg has been named director of institutional technology at Clover Park Technical College (CPTC) in Lakewood. He will be responsible for installation, operation and maintenance of all instructural and operational technology, including computer and telecommunications systems. Moberg will also actively be involved in implementing technology initiatives adopted by CPTC. The initiatives include installation of a fiber-optic telecommunications network on campus.

Swedish Partners Medical Group

Swedish Partners Medical Group (SPMG) is opening the Mercer Island Clinic of Medicine, a new internal medicine clinic on September 7. The clinic will be located at 3236 78th Ave SE. Physicians at the clinic include the following internists, Seth Franklin, M.D., Faith Hyman, M.D. and James Martin, M.D.. In celebration of the opening of the clinic SPMG announces a new scholarship program for graduating seniors in the Mercer Island school district. Two scholarships of $500 each will be awarded to graduating seniors who intend to pursue post-secondary education in a health-related field. SPMG is a network of 14 primary care clinics. In 1995, Pacific Medical Clinics, a non-profit organization governed by Pacific Hospital Preservation and Development Authority, acquired SPMG.

Ogden Murphy Wallace, P.L.L.C.

Karen Sutherland, the Chair of Ogden Murphy Wallace, P.L.L.C.'s Employment Law Department, has been named assistant managing member of the firm. Sutherland's new role recognizes her contributions to firm management and to the community. In addition to her position as department chair, Sutherland has been responsible for spearheading the firm's marketing and quality efforts, leading its client service initiatives, and is a valued member of the firm's Executive, Technology and Compensation Committees.

Prezant Associates, Inc.

Bob Gilmore has joined Prezant Associates, Inc. where he will be providing industrial hygiene technical support for large contracts. Gilmore will also assist clients with regulatory compliance and litigation consultation. He was formerly president of Environmental Health Sciences in Bellevue.

Todo Inc.

Todo Inc. has plans to open 28 Todo Wraps restaurants in the Los Angeles by the end of 1997. The first location, Studio City, will open September 9, marking Todo's first out-of-state expansion. Other locations will include Pasadena, Beverly Hills, Melrose and Marina del Ray.

Flying Mouse Productions

Flying Mouse Productions of Port Orchard, Washington and the Agency of Visual Information, GEO of Khabarovsk, Russia have entered into a joint venture agreement. The agreement between the companies is that Flying Mouse will help produce and supply its Russian counterpart with advertising materials such as brochures, booklets, manuals, posters and specialty advertising products. With the demand for product and service in Eastern Russia, Flying Mouse is working as the go between with the regions printers and suppliers to fill the needs of the Agency of Visual Information, GEO's clients.
