WOSCA Shippers Cooperative

Molly Wolfe has joined WOSCA Shippers Cooperative, Seattle, as a national account representative. She will concentrate services on specific commodities, including food and lumber. WOSCA Shippers Cooperative serves over 2,000 large and small shippers who are partners and customers in the cooperative.

ProVideo Productions

Amber AJT Smith has been promoted to post-production manager for ProVideo Productions located in Seattle. ProVideo Productions produces video programs ranging from one-camera documentation and depositions in the legal field to major training and sales videos and broadcast level productions.

EvansGroup

The EvansGroup has won many new accounts. Two new technology accounts have been acquired and will be handled by EvansGroup Technology and EvansGroup Public Relations. One is with Innova, a manufacturer of microwave technology, and the other is with Cellular Technical Services, a wireless telecommunications company. The agency will handle public relations and technobranding for both companies. The EvansGroup Public Relations' Environmental division won assignments from Seattle City Light to promote Public Power Week, and OMI/Mortensen. EvansGroup Public Relations' Products Promotion division renewed its contract with Wholesome & Hearty Foods, the makers of the Gardenburger.

Senior Services of Seattle-King County

Senior Services' Volunteer Transportation Program needs volunteer drivers to transport low-income, frail elderly living in all areas of King County to their medical appointments Monday through Friday. Volunteers use their own vehicles and choose the days, times and areas they wish to drive. Drivers are reimbursed for mileage and parking expenses, and receive supplemental liability insurance. Washington Association of County Officials

The Washington Association of County Officials (WACO) has elected the following members to serve on its board. M. Janice Michels, president-elect, director and superior court clerk of the King County Department of Judicial Administration; Ray Ryan, president, Cowlitz County Assessor; Bev Allenbaugh, vice president, Kittitas County Auditor; H. Steward Menefee, secretary-treasurer, Grays Harbor County Prosecuting Attorney. WACO's membership includes the county assessor, auditors, clerks, coroners, prosecuting attorneys, sheriffs and treasurers in each of Washington's 39 counties.

Bed and Breakfast Association of Seattle

The Bed and Breakfast Association of Seattle has elected officers for the 1996-97 calendar year. Carol Norton owner of the Prince of Wales Bed and Breakfast on Capitol Hill will serve as president. Susan Williams, vice-president, B.D. Williams House, Queen Anne; Ken Hayes, treasurer, Hill House, Capitol Hill; Karen Carbonneau, secretary, Chelsea Station on the Park, Fremont. The Bed and Breakfast Association of Seattle is comprised of 15 member inns located throughout the city. The Association operates a Bed & Breakfast hotline, 547-1020, which provides up-to-date information on availability at each member inn in Seattle. Seattle School District

Mark Green has been appointed as the new general counsel for the Seattle School District. Green is a senior counsel in the State Attorney General's Office. He will begin his new duties on October 23.

EvansGroup

EvansGroup Public Relations won 17 out of 69 awards at the recently held International Association of Business Communicators' (IABC) Northwest Classics ceremony. Seven of the honors where Awards of Excellence, the highest in each category. EvansGroup Technology also won three awards. Suzanne Hartman and Courtney Romano each one two Awards of Excellence. Steve Bryant, Steve Birge and Mark Briant also each one and Award of Excellence.

Bellevue Neck & Back Clinic

Dr. Grant Reid recently sold his Lynnwood chiropractic practice and relocated to Bellevue opening the Bellevue Neck & Back Clinic. Reid received funding for the move through a U.S. Small Business Administration loan arranged by Michael Esfeld of the Money Store Investment Corporation (TMSIC).

The Advertising Production Association

Advertising Production Association has elected Patti Morisset, president, Tonkin, Inc.; Pamela Shute, vice president, Microsoft Corporation; and Dan Sturgeon, treasurer, Heath Printers, to serve as the associations officers. The Advertising Production Association is primarily made up of print production managers from advertising agencies, corporate in-house agencies, publishing companies, design firms, and manufacturers of advertising-related materials.

1996 IABC/Communicator of the Year

Chuck Larrabee has been named as the 1996 IABC/Communicator of the Year. Larrabee serves as a Senior PR Human Resources Specialist for Alliant Techsystems.

The Pacific Institute

Joe Abel and Victor Matheu have joined The Pacific Institute (TPI) as project directors. Abel previously served as vice president of KIRO Newsradio. Matheu's worked in sales management and marketing with Rollins, Inc. TPI is an international business education organization with headquarters in Seattle. Bellingham/Whatcom County Convention & Visitors Bureau The Bellingham/Whatcom County Convention & Visitors Bureau is distributing brochures promoting the Northwest Washington Golf "Signature Series". The program allows players to arrange hotel accommodations and tee times with just one phone call. Golfers can stay as long as they like and play any combination of seven courses.
