UW Alumni

The University of Washington Big "W" Alumni Club will hold its annual blanket drive for St. Vincent de Paul and the homeless and needy on November 4-10. The community is encouraged to donate blankets and bedding or make a monetary contribution. Husky fans can drop off blankets or make a monetary contribution at Husky Stadium before the Washington-Oregon game on November 9. Volunteers will be on hand at all entrances of the stadium. Other drop off bins will be located at the UW Alumni House located at 1415 N.E. 45th St. (November 4-8, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.), area Thriftway stores, Washington's Food Store and SleepCountry USA locations, November 4-8. Color Marketing Group

Color Marketing Group's (CMG) Fall International Conference, "Color Passages", will be held in Seattle, November 3-5. Members will participate in cooperative Color Workshops where Color Direction will be forecast for products appearing in 1999's Contract/Commercial markets -- Retail, Hospitality, Office and Health Care. CMG is a not-for-profit, international association of color design professionals, whose members forecast Color Directions one to three years in advance for manufactured products in all industries.

CSI Digital

CSI Digital, a Seattle-based technology integration-management company, has promoted Linda Young to area vice president. Young will be responsible for directing all of CSI Digital's business in the Northwest region, including Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Alaska and Western Canada.

Atlas Cylinders

Bob Niles has been appointed to Northwest regional sales manager for Atlas Cylinders. His responsibility will be to service the industrial OEM and user customers in the Northwest region. Based in Eugene, Ore., Atlas Cylinders manufactures hydraulic, pneumatic, tie rod, welded and custom cylinders. Atlas Cylinders is a division of the Parker Hannifin Corporation.

McCormick & Schmick's

Chris Westcott has been named executive chef at McCormick & Schmick's Harborside Restaurant on Lake Union. He was formerly executive chef at McCormick's Fish House in Seattle.

MWW/Savitt

Seattle-based MWW/Savitt has hired David Matthews as a local area network (LAN) administrator. As LAN administrator, Matthews will focus on programming Microsoft Office to meet MWW/Savitt's specific needs. He will also in upgrade the in-house Internet connections and create a more efficient and powerful local area network.

Reed McClure

Lisa Kirk has joined the Seattle law firm of Reed McClure as an associate. Kirk is a graduate of the University of Washington School of Law and is a member of the Order of the Coif.

CF2GS

The Seattle advertising and direct marketing agency CF2GS has named Melissa Stevens as vice president of direct marketing services. She will primarily be responsible for the L.A. Cellular account, as well as developing new direct marketing clients. CF2GS is a wholly owned subsidiary of True North Communications with offices in Seattle, Portland and San Francisco.

Van Valkenberg Furber

The Van Valkenberg Furber Law Group has added two experienced corporate finance lawyers, Jeffrey Heutmaker and Daren Nitz. Heutmaker was formerly an attorney with Bogle & Gates' Corporate Finance and Securities Group.
