Susie Plummer has been named vice president and general manager of Westlake Center in Seattle. Plummer will oversee all aspects of the Center's operations, including leasing and retail management.
Thomas Russell has joined Alaska Sightseeing/Cruise West (AS/CW), a Seattle-based cruise line, as vice president of sales, marketing and reservations. Russell previously worked for Silversea Cruises, where he was a founding manager and vice president of marketing and product development.
The Casey Family Program has named Gary Severson as its newest trustee. Severson recently retired as chairman of the board of First Interstate Bank of Washington. The Casey Family Program is a privately endowed operating foundation that provides planned long-term family foster care to children and youth.
Greg Galuska has been named executive chef at McCormick's Fish House and Bar in downtown Seattle. Galuska is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York. He most recently served as the executive chef at The Edgewater in Seattle.
The Eastside Retirement Association has elected five new members to its fourteen-member volunteer board of directors. The association owns and operates Emerald Heights, a not-for-profit life care retirement community in Redmond. The following people were elected to the board; Caren Brown, James McGrath, John Monson, Hugo Oswald, Jr. and Cathy Volwiler.
The Seattle firm of Elgin Syferd Public Relations has hired Karen McKay as assistant account executive in the company's Strategic Environmental Management Group. McKay previously worked as a PR intern at the New York offices of Hill & Knowlton.
Elgin DDB, a Seattle full-service communications company, has added the following people to its creative and administrative departments. Sibyl Price has been hired as art director; Ramone Wallace, account administrator; Lisa Papas, account supervisor for the Emerging Technologies Group, and Josh Holets, account administrator. Elgin DDB is a subsidiary of DDB Needham Worldwide.
West Stock, a Seattle stock photography agency, has hired Gary Tarbox as director of systems and channel promotion. Tarbox will be responsible for the promotions of West Stock's full-range of stock photography distribution services, which include the Muse Website, photo CD-ROMs, high-resolution digital scans, and film-based stock images, both domestic and international. He will also be responsible for improvements to West Stock's Muse Website functionality and joint marketing relationships in the office services and software industries.
