Scott Missall has been elected as "of counsel" at the Seattle law firm of Short Cressman & Burgess PLLC. Missall, who is the chair on the firm's Environmental and Land Use Practice Group, concentrates his practice in the areas of land use, environmental and municipal law.
Norman Wiener, a senior partner at the Portland office of the law firm Miller, Nash, Wiener, Hager & Carlsen LLP, has had an article published in the American Bar Association's "Litigation Manual". The article, "Simple Lessons from a Complex Case," will be included in the Trial Practice Volume.
Beth Skrypzak has been appointed section head of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Virginia Mason Medical Center. Her medical interests include contraception, hormone replacement therapy, menopause and gynecological surgery.
Lisa Lawrence has joined the Seattle law office of Foster Pepper & Shefelman as an associate. Lawrence will join the firm's commercial litigation practice, focusing her work on securities and land use cases.
